Connie Van Onselder
Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Connie Van Onselder currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Keeneland in August 2012, she was the Chief Financial Officer at Unified Trust Company.
Van Onselder graduated Summa Cum Laude from Albion College with a B.A. in Economics and Management in 1984. She worked for four years at the international accounting firm of Ernst & Whinney, LLP, was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Critical Health Systems, Inc. in Raleigh, N.C. for over 10 years, and prior to joining Unified Trust Company she was the Treasurer and Finance Director for CAPTRUST Financial Advisors in Raleigh, N.C. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Van Onselder grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan. She moved to Raleigh, N.C. directly after college. During her 26 years in Raleigh, Van Onselder, volunteered on numerous committees at Ravenscroft School, coached cheerleading and organized a 5k run to benefit the 200 Club of Raleigh.
An avid fisherman, Van Onselder serves on the board of Bluegrass Trout Unlimited – a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving our cold water fisheries.
Connie and her husband, Robert, have four children, Jessica (Hale) Tesh, who is finishing her degree in Education at North Carolina State University and is the Recruiting Director at Coldwell, Banker, Howard, Perry & Walston in Raleigh, N.C.; Stephanie Hale, who is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington in Clinical Research and works as a Clinical Research Coordinator at PMG Research of Charlotte, N.C.; Brooke Van Onselder, who is a freshman at Eastern Carolina University; and Andrew Van Onselder, (15) who is also an fly-fisherman.
