The Beaumont is named in honor of the Beaumont Farm of Hal Price Headley, one of Keeneland's founders. Previously run as an allowance race, the Beaumont was elevated to a stakes event for the 1986 Spring Meet. The Stronach Family's Adena Springs, which has divisions in Paris, Ky., Williston, Fla., and Aurora, Ontario, began to sponsor the Beaumont in 2015.
The $150,000 Beaumont (G3) is for 3-year-old fillies, going 7 furlongs and 184 feet on the main track. The nomination fee is $100; nominations close March 22.
