We are the only Mid-South voluntary health organization providing valuable resource for lupus patients, actively serving lupus patients and their families.
We have 15 support groups throughout KY., TN. and AL. that are for many patients a lifeline to help with the isolation they may experience with this disease. We are strengthening and expanding these groups - with groups in additional locations being planned for this year.
Over the past year 3,000 patients and families have been served by this chapter and there is an ever increasing number of calls to the chapter each year.
Chapter educational programs, led by medical experts, continue to provide valuable information and resources in the management and treatment of lupus.
Supporting our Annual Walk for Lupus Now is vital - not only for funds to be raised but also for increased awareness of the prevalence of lupus and its impact upon so many individuals and families. Participating in the Walk for Lupus Now can be an inspiring, empowering and emotional experience for all who take part in this city-wide recognition program!
