Maker's Mark, the world-famous bourbon distiller headquartered in Loretto, Ky., has sponsored the race since 1997. Formerly known as the Maker's Mark Mile, the stakes was renamed in 2012 in honor of Maker's 46 bourbon, the distillery's first new product in more than 50 years.
The $300,000 Maker's 46 Mile (G1) is for 4-year-olds and up, going 1 mile on the turf. The nomination fee is $150; nominations close March 29.
