Keeneland Sales Graduate and Multiple Grade 1 Winner Bast Featured in Grade 2 Santa Ynez

Keeneland sales graduate and three-time Grade 1 winner Bast, who closed 2019 with a victory in the Starlet (G1), tops entries for Sunday’s Santa Ynez (G2) at Santa Anita. The Santa Ynez is a prep on the Road to the Kentucky Oaks (G1). Bast currently ranks second on the Kentucky Oaks leaderboard with 24 points.

Keeneland-sold maiden winners Authentic and Azul Coast, both trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert, seek points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1) in Saturday’s Sham (G3), also at Santa Anita.
