Keeneland Sales Graduates Bast, Authentic Earn Classic Points with Weekend Wins

Keeneland sales graduates dominated the weekend’s classic preps at Santa Anita. Multiple Grade 1 winner and Eclipse Award finalist for champion 2-year-old filly Bast earned 10 points for her victory in the Santa Ynez (G2) to move into the top spot on the Road to the Kentucky Oaks (G1) leaderboard with a total of 34 points.

Sales alumni Auberge and Golden Principal finished second and third, respectively.

Authentic romped to a 7¾-length win in the Sham (G3), his second career start, to secure 10 points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1). Second was stablemate and Keeneland sales graduate Azul Coast.

All five Keeneland sales graduates are trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert.
