Keeneland Sales Graduates Top Holiday Graded Stakes Fields

Keeneland sales graduates lead entries for upcoming graded stakes held in celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Tom’s d’Etat, winner of the Hagyard Fayette (G2) on closing day of Keeneland’s Fall Meet, headlines the Clark Handicap Presented by Norton Healthcare (G1) on Friday at Churchill Downs. Tom’s d’Etat is one of eight Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduates in the 12-horse field, which also includes Mr Freeze, second in the Hagyard Fayette, and Grade 3 winners Owendale and Draft Pick.

Other Keeneland sales graduates among the top graded stakes contenders are Chilukki (G3) winner Sally’s Curlin and Empire Distaff Handicap winner Ratajkowski in the Falls City (G2) and two-time Canadian champion turf female Starship Jubilee in the Cardinal (G3), both at Churchill on Thursday. Graded stakes winners Recruiting Ready, the 132-pound highweight, and Strike Power go postward in the Fall Highweight (G3) at Aqueduct on Thanksgiving Day.

On Friday, Sands Point (G2) winner New and Improved heads a contingent of eight Keeneland sales graduates competing in the Mrs. Revere (G2) at Churchill.
