Unbelievable Dream Rallies From Far Back to Win Appalachian, Gives Rosario Fifth Victory of Day

LEXINGTON, KY (April 18, 2013) – Sure Thing Stables’ homebred Unbelieveable Dream charged from the back of the pack under Joel Rosario to win the 25th running of the $100,000 Appalachian Stakes Presented by the Japan Racing Association (G3) for three-year-old fillies by a half-length over Overheard before a crowd of 11,551 on a warm, windy Thursday afternoon at Keeneland.

Ancil Scores Front-Running Victory in Featured Blandford Purse at Keeneland

LEXINGTON, KY (April 17, 2013) – Scott Farmer and Kathy Thompson’s Ancil, coming off a 6½-month layoff, scored a front-running half-length victory in the $62,000 Blandford Purse for four-year-olds and up before a crowd of 9,141 on Wednesday afternoon.

Trained by Joan Scott and ridden by Julien Leparoux, Ancil covered the 5½ furlongs on a firm turf course in 1:03.50.

Ciao Bella Luna Rolls to 2½-Length Victory in 28th Beaumont (G2)

LEXINGTON, KY (April 14, 2013) – Gillian Campbell, Martin Racing Stable, Greenwood Lodge Farm and Car-Den Racing’s Ciao Bella Luna surged past pace-setting Magical Moon in midstretch to win the 28th running of the $150,000 Beaumont Stakes Presented by Keeneland Select (G2) for three-year-old fillies by 2½ lengths before a crowd of 18,325 on a mild Sunday afternoon.

Kisber, Bradley Thoroughbreds and Nelson McMakin’s Watsdachances (IRE), unraced since a runner-up finish in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) last November at Santa Anita, headlines a field of 10 three-year-old fillies entered Sunday for Thursday’s 25th running of the $100,000 Appalachian Presented by the Japan Racing Association (G3) at one mile on the turf.
