UK-BRED CASIGUAPO JOINS LIST OF TOYOTA BLUE GRASS PROBABLES

All American Horses’ Casiguapo, who was bred by the University of Kentucky, has joined the list of probables for the 90th running of the $750,000 Toyota Blue Grass (G1) on Saturday, April 12.

Trained by Mario Morales, Casiguapo was the runner-up in the Hopeful (G1) and Delta Downs Jackpot (G3) in 2013 and finished fifth in his lone 2014 start. The colt by Sightseeing is scheduled to arrive at Keeneland on Thursday from his home base at Calder.

Testa Rossi Heads Field of 13 for Saturday's Central Bank Ashland

LEXINGTON, KY (April 2, 2014) James Covello, Thomas Coleman and Mike Dohenney’s Testa Rossi (FR) tops a cast of 13 3-year-old fillies entered Wednesday for Saturday’s 77th running of the $500,000 Central Bank Ashland (G1) at 1 1/16 miles on the main track.

TWO-TIME HORSE OF THE YEAR WISE DAN WORKS

Morton Fink’s reigning two-time Horse of the Year, Wise Dan, worked five furlongs in 1:00.60 on his own early Tuesday morning at Keeneland.

With regular morning partner Damien Rock aboard, Wise Dan posted fractions of :13.20, :25.60, :37.40 and galloped out six furlongs in 1:13.20 and seven furlongs in 1:27.20.

LEXINGTON, KY (April 1, 2014)– University of Kentucky head football coach Mark Stoops has lived much of his life with a keen awareness of the importance of cardiac care following his father’s untimely death at age 54 from a heart attack. So when the coach was selected to be featured on the 2014 Keeneland Maker’s Mark bottle with proceeds going to benefit the Gill Heart Institute at UK Healthcare, he found that to be a cause he could fully endorse.

Extrasexyhippzster Works for Toyota Blue Grass

Kirwan Equine Group Inc. and Ed Hipps’ Extrasexyhippzster worked five furlongs in company in 1:00 on a cool, clear Sunday morning at Keeneland.

With jockey Stewart Elliott up, Exxtrasexyhippzster started four lengths behind workmate War Ready and posted fractions of :12.80, :24.80, :36.20 and galloped out six furlongs in 1:13.40. Extrasexyhippzster finished two lengths back at the wire and drew even on the gallop out.

Maker’s 46 Mile Remains Target For Two-Time Horse of the Year Wise Dan

Trainer Charlie LoPresti remains hopeful that two-time reigning Horse of the Year Wise Dan can make his 2014 debut in the 26th running of the $300,000 Maker’s 46 Mile (G1) on Friday, April 11.
