VANMETER MAKES KEENELAND DEBUT WITH PEARL TURN

Pearl Turn represents a number of firsts for her 30-year-old trainer, Will VanMeter. On March 14 at Oaklawn, the 4-year-old Bernardini filly became his first winner when she captured an allowance race by five lengths. On Friday, she will be VanMeter’s first starter in a stakes and first starter at Keeneland when she breaks from post three in the $100,000 Hilliard Lyons Doubledogdare (G3) with Rosie Napravnik.

UNDEFEATED DIVINE OATH FACES 10 RIVALS IN STAKES DEBUT IN COOLMORE LEXINGTON

Let’s Go Stable’s undefeated Divine Oath, who did not draw into last Saturday’s Toyota Blue Grass (G1) field off the also-eligible list, will face 10 rivals this Saturday when he makes his stakes debut in the 33rd running of the $200,000 Coolmore Lexington (G3) at 1 1/16 miles on the main track.

TWO-TIME KEENELAND GRADE 1 WINNER EMOLLIENT HEADS FIELD FOR HILLIARD LYONS DOUBLEDOGDARE

Juddmonte Farms’ Emollient, a three-time Grade 1 winner in 2013, headlines a field of 11 fillies and mares entered Tuesday for Friday’s 20th running of the $100,000 Hilliard Lyons Doubledogdare (G3) at 1 1/16 miles on the main track.

The Hilliard Lyons Doubledogdare will go as the ninth race on Friday’s 10-race program with a 5:13 p.m. ET post time.

NO DERBY DECISION ON TOYOTA BLUE GRASS WINNER DANCE WITH FATE

While Sharon Alesia, Bran Jam Stable and Ciaglia Racing’s Dance With Fate had an easy morning at Barn 22 following his victory in Saturday’s $750,000 Toyota Blue Grass (G1), trainer Peter Eurton was flying back to his Southern California base.

WISE DAN DOING WELL MORNING AFTER MAKER’S 46 MILE TRIUMPH

Trainer Charlie LoPresti was one happy camper Saturday morning, the day after Morton Fink’s reigning two-time Horse of the Year Wise Dan made a triumphant return to the races with a victory in the Maker’s 46 Mile (G1) on Friday.

SO LONESOME ARRIVES FOR RUN IN TOYOTA BLUE GRASS

Patricia Schuler’s So Lonesome arrived at Keeneland from his winter base at Palm Meadows in South Florida shortly before 7 o’clock Wednesday morning for a shot in Saturday’s $750,000 Toyota Blue Grass (G1).

Winner of a New York-bred stakes on turf at Aqueduct last fall, So Lonesome finished ninth in the Palm Beach (G3) at Gulfstream Park in his lone start of 2014.

WISE DAN WORKS TOWARD 2014 DEBUT

Two-time reigning Horse of the Year Wise Dan put the finishing touches on his likely 2014 debut with a breeze through the stretch early Tuesday morning at Keeneland.

With regular morning partner Damien Rock aboard, Wise Dan covered the quarter-mile of the stretch in :22.80 and galloped out three furlongs in :35 on his own in preparation for Friday’s Maker’s 46 Mile (G1).
