On Upperline winning her final race

“She’s been a superstar from the beginning. She’s been tough in all of her races, and we’re just happy that she was able to do it like this.

“We’re just sorry we hadn’t started running her a mile and a half a long time ago. James (Graham) rode her great, and she’s a great mare.”

Gatewood Bell (co-owner of winner Gypsy Robin)

“She loves the track. She’s trained here. She’s always run well here. She’s a really fast horse. The Hall of Famer (jockey John Velazquez) made her look good. It helps having him on her back; gives you confidence. She just ran awesome. (Trainer) Wesley (Ward) had her primed today, and she’s a good filly and she ran well.”
