Keep Quiet (FR) Adds to Casse's Breeders' Cup Arsenal

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 10, 2016) – Gary Barber’s Keep Quiet (FR) came out of his 1¼-length victory in Sunday’s Dixiana Bourbon (G2) in good shape, according to Norman Casse, assistant to his father, trainer Mark Casse.

“He is good this morning,” Casse said of Keep Quiet, who returned Sunday night to Churchill Downs where Casse has another string of horses.

I'm a Chatterbox Exits Juddmonte Spinster in Good Order

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 10, 2016) – Trainer Larry Jones reported that all was well with runaway Juddmonte Spinster (G1) winner I’m a Chatterbox Monday morning.

Sunday’s seven-length victory secured a spot in the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) to be run Nov. 4 at Santa Anita – a spot Jones would not have gone to had not I’m a Chatterbox earned a fees-paid trip to the race.

Fall Stars Weekend Concludes with Record Attendance, Win by I’m a Chatterbox in the Juddmonte Spinster

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 9, 2016) – Fletcher and Carolyn Gray’s homebred I’m a Chatterbox swept past pacesetting Paid Up Subscriber at the head of the stretch and drew away for a seven-length victory to win the 61st running of the $500,000 Juddmonte Spinster (G1) for fillies and mares. The Sunday afternoon crowd of 18,454 boosted the Oct. 7-9 Fall Stars Weekend attendance to a record 66,437, topping the 62,454 figure established in 2006.

Bayakoa (ARG) (1989)

Mr. and Mr.s Frank Whitham's Bayakoa scored the first of her two victories in the Spinster by 11 1/2 lengths. She repeated in 1990 and both years went on to win the Breeders' Cup Distaff en route to divisional honors. Bayakoa was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1998.

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 8, 2016) Even trainer Graham Motion was surprised when Chadds Ford Stable’s Dancing Rags won Friday’s Darley Alicbiades (G1), a “Win and You’re In” race that guarantees the 2-year-old filly a spot in the starting gate for the 14 Hands Winery Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) on Nov. 5 at Santa Anita.

Motion said he and owner Phyllis Wyeth, who races as Chadds Ford Stable, would have to discuss the options.
