Don’t Tell Sophia Pulls Upset in Juddmonte Spinster; Lawn Ranger Takes Dixiana Bourbon

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 5, 2014) – Trainer Phil Sims and Jerry Namy’s Don’t Tell Sophia rallied from far back to win the 59th running of the $500,000 Juddmonte Spinster (G1) for fillies and mares by 2½  lengths over Ria Antonia with 1-5 favorite Close Hatches finishing fourth before a Sunday crowd of 12,534.

The victory earned Don’t Tell Sophia a spot in the starting gate for the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) to be run Oct. 31 at Santa Anita.
