Long-time tournament player Leon Roberts, Sr. lapped the field in the first Friday Night Handicapping Challenge of the season. Leon had a couple of long shots midway through the card and withstood all challenges to win the $1000 first prize. He was the best of 106 handicappers, who tackled the races at Delta Downs and Turfway.
The next Friday Night Handicapping Challenge is scheduled for Friday, January 18, in the Equestrian Room. Registration begins at 4:00 PM, and the contest will be held on races from Turfway Park, Fair Grounds, and Delta Downs.
