Probable Stakes Fields for Fall Stars Sunday and Next Week

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 4, 2017)  – The following is a list of probable starters for upcoming stakes compiled by Keeneland Stakes Coordinator Allison DeLuca.

MO D’AMOUR COULD GIVE BRISSET A JUDDMONTE SPINSTER WINNER OF HIS OWN

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 1, 2017) -- In 2013, one of the horses Rodolphe Brisset rode in the mornings as an assistant for trainer Bill Mott was Emollient, who made the Juddmonte Spinster (G1) one of four Grade 1 victories in her career.

This Sunday, Brisset could have a Juddmonte Spinster heroine of his own when WinStar Farm’s Mo d’Amour makes an expected start in the 1 1/8-mile race that is “Win and You’re In” for the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) to be run Nov. 3 at Del Mar.

Phil Sims (winning trainer and co-owner of Don’t Tell Sophia)

“We knew she’d make a run at the three-eighths (pole) and just hoped she’d have enough to run them down. She did.”

“She’s tough as nails. She shows up every time. We’re so delighted with her.”

Quotes - $500,000 Juddmonte Spinster (G1)

Todd Pletcher (winning trainer of In Lingerie)

“We were hopeful (of a winning performance). She ran very well at Saratoga against the best 3-year-old fillies in the country and we knew she liked the Polytrack. We were just hoping that she’d transfer that form from Turfway early on. (At Turfway Park, she won her career debut in January and won the Grade 3 Bourbonette Oaks in March.) We knew she was training well, so we were optimistic.”
