Keeneland Sales Graduates Dominate Donn Entries, Led by Travers (G1) Winner Keen Ice in Season Debut

LEXINGTON, KY (Feb. 5, 2016) – Keeneland sales graduates comprise seven of the eight older horses entered for Saturday’s Donn Handicap (G1) at Gulfstream, led by 2015 Travers (G1) winner Keen Ice, who carries high weight of 121 pounds in his season debut. Trainer Todd Pletcher is represented by a powerful trio of sales graduates: Grade 1 winner Mshawish, who comes into the Donn off a victory in the Hal’s Hope (G3) at Gulfstream in January, and Grade 2 winners Madefromlucky and Itsaknockout.

LEXINGTON, KY (Jan. 29, 2016) – Keeneland sales graduate and undefeated champion 2-year-old male Nyquist is the 126-pound highweight on The Jockey Club’s 2015 Experimental Free Handicap, announced today.

Keeneland Sales Grads Among Sovereign Awards Finalists

LEXINGTON, KY (Jan. 21, 2016) – Gary Barber, Michael James Ambler and Windways Farm’s Catch a Glimpse, winner of the 2015 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1) at Keeneland for trainer Mark Casse, is among the Keeneland sales graduates who are finalists for 2015 Sovereign Awards as champions in Canada. The awards will be presented April 8 at Woodbine.

LEXINGTON, KY (Jan. 6, 2016) – Eleven graduates of Keeneland sales join horses and horsemen who competed at Keeneland last year and are among the finalists for 2015 Eclipse Awards. The champions, which are determined by a vote of Daily Racing Form, National Thoroughbred Racing Association and National Turf Writers and Broadcasters, will be announced Jan. 16 at Gulfstream Park.

LEXINGTON, KY (Jan. 4, 2016) – Forever Darling and Life Imitates Art, both graduates of Keeneland’s 2014 September Yearling Sale, scored gritty wins in Saturday’s Santa Ynez (G2) at Santa Anita and Dania Beach (G3) at Gulfstream, respectively. Keeneland sales alumni swept the top three spots in both graded stakes.

LEXINGTON, KY (Dec. 24, 2015) – Keeneland sales graduates headline entries for the Malibu (G1) and La Brea (G1) stakes on Saturday, opening day at Santa Anita. Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate Runhappy, winner of the 2015 TwinSpires Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) at Keeneland, leads entries for the Malibu. Seven of the 10 fillies entered in the La Brea are Keeneland sales alumni, including Grade 1 winner Cavorting, Grade 3 winner Ben’s Duchess and graded stakes-placed Rattataptap.
