Keeneland Sales Graduates Stand Out in Juvenile Stakes at Saratoga, Del Mar

LEXINGTON, KY (Aug. 12, 2016) – Keeneland sales graduates are prominent in this weekend’s 2-year-old graded stakes at Saratoga and Del Mar. At Saratoga, Keeneland is represented by four of the six juvenile fillies entered in Saturday’s Adirondack (G2), led by Kentucky Juvenile Stakes winner Silvertoni, and four of the five 2-year-olds set for Sunday’s Saratoga Special (G2), featuringRecruiting Ready and Tip Tap Tapizar, second and third, respectively, in the Bashford Manor (G3).

Keeneland September Yearling Sale Graduates Sweep Weekend Graded Stakes

LEXINGTON, KY (July 18, 2016) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduates captured all seven North American graded stakes races over the weekend, including the Delaware Handicap (G1) won by I’m a Chatterbox on Saturday. September Sale graduates have now won 108 graded stakes, including 27 Grade 1 wins, in 2016, more than all other North American Thoroughbred sales companies combined.

Keeneland September Sale Graduate Melatonin Secures Berth in Classic with Gold Cup Victory

LEXINGTON, KY (June 27, 2016) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale alumni won both Grade 1 stakes at Santa Anita on Saturday. In the Gold Cup at Santa Anita (G1), Melatonin earned his second Grade 1 victory of 2016 and an automatic berth in the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) on Nov. 5 with a victory over fellow September Sale graduate Win the Space.

Keeneland Sales Graduates Lady Aurelia, Hawkbill, Order of St George Win at Royal Ascot

LEXINGTON, KY (June 16, 2016) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduates Lady Aurelia, Hawkbill and Order of St George (IRE) have captured group stakes during the prestigious Royal Ascot meet in England.

On Wednesday, Lady Aurelia scored a dominating seven-length victory in the Queen Mary (G2) Wednesday at Royal Ascot.

With Frankie Dettori aboard for trainer Wesley Ward, the 2-year-old daughter of Scat Daddy took command early in the five-furlong race over soft going on the straightaway and easily defeated 16 rivals.

Keeneland September Sale Graduate Jhelkabyz Wins Kazakhstan’s 2000 Guineas

LEXINGTON, KY (June 16, 2016) – Jhelkabyz, a graduate of Keeneland’s 2014 September Yearling Sale, won Kazakhstan’s 2000 Guineas on Sunday, June 12, at Almaty Hippodrome.

Gainesway, agent, consigned the 3-year-old colt by Afleet Express out of the Corinthian mare Be With Me to the September Sale. He was purchased for $3,000 by BBA Ireland and leading Kazakhstan bloodstock agent Akhat Razak.

Jhelkabyz is owned by Baltabek. He is trained and was ridden by Nurdan Sharshenbaev.
