Keeneland Sales Graduate Cavorting Romps in Ruffian

LEXINGTON, KY (May 16, 2016) – Keeneland sales graduate Cavorting posted an authoritative victory in Saturday’s Ruffian (G2) at Belmont, pulling away easily in the stretch to win by five lengths.

LEXINGTON, KY (May 12, 2016) – Keeneland sales graduates and Grade 1 stakes winners Cavorting and Include Betty top entries for the Ruffian Handicap (G2), one of four graded stakes scheduled on Saturday at Belmont. Keeneland-sold fillies and mares number five of the eight entries for the Beaugay (G3), highlighted by Grade 1 winner Ball Dancing and graded stakes winners Recepta, My Miss Sophia and Sistas Stroll.

Keeneland Sales Graduates Pack $1 Million Kentucky Oaks Field

LEXINGTON, KY (May 3, 2016) – Nine of the 15 fillies entered today in Friday’s 142nd running of the $1 million Kentucky Oaks (G1) at Churchill Downs are graduates of Keeneland sales. The Kentucky Oaks is a 1 1/8-mile race for 3-year-old fillies.

Since 1994, Keeneland sales have produced 10 Kentucky Oaks winners. They include Racing Hall of Famer Ashado and Belmont (G1) winner Rags to Riches.

Keeneland September Sale Graduate Stanford Cruises to Charles Town Classic Win

LEXINGTON, KY (April 24, 2016) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate Stanford won the $1.25 million Charles Town Classic (G2) in gate-to-wire fashion on Saturday. Finest City, also a September Sale alum, set a track record for 6½ furlongs in winning the Great Lady M. (G2) at Los Alamitos.

Keeneland Sales Graduate Donworth Favored in Charles Town Classic

LEXINGTON, KY (April 21, 2016) – Keeneland sales graduate Donworth has been installed as the morning-line favorite for Saturday’s $1.25 million Charles Town Classic (G2). The field also includes Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate Imperative, winner of the 2014 Charles Town Classic. September Sale alum and Grade 1 winner I’m a Chatterbox makes her 2016 debut in the Hilliard Lyons Doubledogdare (G3) on Friday at Keeneland.

 

Keeneland September Sale Graduate Creator Solidifies Derby Berth With Arkansas Derby Victory

LEXINGTON, KY (April 17, 2016) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduates captured this weekend’s final classic preps. On the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1), Creator rallied from behind to take the Arkansas Derby (G1) at Oaklawn, while Collected unleashed a powerful run to win the Lexington (G3) at Keeneland by four lengths. Lightstream remained undefeated in winning the Adena Springs Beaumont (G3) on Sunday at Keeneland, the final prep on the Road to the Kentucky Oaks (G1).

LEXINGTON, KY (April 10, 2016) – Alumni of Keeneland’s 2014 September Yearling Sale enhanced their standings among the top classic contenders with spectacular wins on Saturday. On the Road to the Kentucky Derby, Claiborne Breeders’ Futurity (G1) winner Brody’s Cause posted a strong performance to win the $1 million Toyota Blue Grass (G1) at Keeneland, while Exaggerator romped to a 6¼-length victory in the $1 million Santa Anita Derby (G1).

LEXINGTON, KY (April 10, 2016) – Keeneland sales alumni Mei Ling, winner of the Heavenly Prize Invitational Stakes on March 5 at Aqueduct, and America, winner of the Turnback the Alarm (G3) last fall at Belmont, highlight entries for today’s Top Flight Invitational (G3) at Aqueduct.
