Keeneland September Sale Graduates Gunnevera and Mastery Impressive in Grade 3 Stakes Wins

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 21, 2016) – Gunnevera and Mastery, both graduates of Keeneland’s 2015 September Yearling Sale, cruised to respective wins on Saturday in the $1,000,000 Delta Downs Jackpot (G3) and Bob Hope (G3) at Del Mar. In the Delta Downs Jackpot, Gunnevera made an explosive move on the turn, coming from last to circle the field and kick away by 5¾ lengths. Mastery led confidently from gate to wire in the Bob Hope, pulling away under a hand ride to win by 1¼ lengths.

Keeneland Sales Graduates Dominate Delta Downs Jackpot Field

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 18, 2016) – Keeneland sales graduates comprise nine of the 10 juveniles entered for Saturday’s $1 million Delta Downs Jackpot (G3) at Delta Downs. Keeneland is represented by morning-line favorite and Saratoga Special (G2) winner Gunnevera; second choice Hot Sean, impressive in recent maiden and allowance victories; Oak Tree Juvenile Stakes winner Dangerfield; Jean Lafitte Stakes winner Line Judge; and graded stakes-placed Tip Tap Tapizar and Thirstforlife, among others.

Keeneland November Sale Graduate Hay Dakota Wins Commonwealth Turf

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 14, 2016) –  Hay Dakota, sold as a weanling at Keeneland’s 2013 November Breeding Stock Sale, employed a late closing kick to upset the Commonwealth Turf (G3) at Churchill Downs on Saturday. The same afternoon, Keeneland September Yearling Sale alum Sticksstatelydude captured the Discovery (G3) at Aqueduct in wire-to-wire fashion. 



Keeneland Sales Graduates Dominant over Breeders’ Cup Weekend

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 7, 2016) –  Keeneland sales graduates won more than half the graded stakes contested in North America this weekend, headlined by eight of the 13 races in the Breeders’ Cup World Championships held Nov. 4-5 at Santa Anita, among them the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) with Arrogate and $2 million Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) with Beholder.
