Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate Theory, a 5½-length winner in his career debut at Saratoga, leads entries for the Futurity. The Todd Pletcher-trained duo of Cherry Lodge and Spirituality, both maiden winners, highlight the field for the Matron.

Keeneland Sales Graduates Lipstick City, La Coronel Seek Breeders’ Cup Berth in JPMorgan Chase Jessamine

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 12, 2016) – Keeneland sales graduates compete for an automatic berth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Filly Turf (G1) in today’s JPMorgan Chase Jessamine (G3) at Keeneland. Among the sales alumni entered are Lipstick City, who rallied from last to first to win her career debut at Belmont in September, and La Coronel, winner of her maiden at Saratoga.

Keeneland Sales Graduates Have History of Travers Day Success

LEXINGTON, KY (Aug. 26, 2016) – Graduates of Keeneland sales have excelled in the Travers (G1) at Saratoga, which will be run Saturday for the 147th time. The 1 1/4-mile race for 3-year-olds is worth $1.25 million.

The past six Travers winners are graduates of Keeneland sales. They are:

2015: Keen Ice (2012 November/2013 September), who defeated Triple Crown winner American Pharoah.

Keeneland Sales Graduates Streaking in King’s Bishop

Keeneland Sales Graduates, Led by Beach Patrol, Finish 1-2-3 in Secretariat

LEXINGTON, KY (Aug. 15, 2016) – Keeneland sales graduates swept the top three spots in Saturday’s Secretariat (G1) at Arlington. Beach Patrol and Long Island Sound, both sold as weanlings at the 2013 November Breeding Stock Sale, battled through the stretch, with Beach Patrol prevailing by a head at the wire. September Yearling Sale alum American Patriot was third.
