Keeneland Sales Graduates Showcased on Breeders’ Cup Saturday

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 1, 2013) – Thirty-seven Keeneland sales graduates will compete in Breeders’ Cup World Championship races on Saturday, headlined by Grade 1 stakes winners Game On Dude (morning-line favorite), Palace Malice, Will Take Charge and Paynter in the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1). Ten of the 13 horses going postward in the $2 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) are Keeneland sales graduates.

Keeneland Sales Alumni Prominent Among Breeders' Cup Entries

Multiple champion Royal Delta and 2013 Belmont (G1) winner Palace Malice are among the 60 Keeneland sales alumni who are entered for the 2013 Breeders’ Cup World Championships on Nov. 1-2 at Santa Anita. The event, which consists of 14 races worth a total of $27 million, drew a total of 172 pre-entered horses.

Keeneland Sale Alum Winning Cause Seeks Victory in the Hagyard Fayette

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 25, 2013) – Keeneland sales graduate Winning Cause, who captured the Coolmore Lexington (G3) last spring, highlights the entries for closing Saturday’s Hagyard Fayette (G2).  Among the other notable Keeneland sale alumni competing this weekend are Grade 3 winners Clearly Now in the Bold Ruler (G3) at Belmont on Saturday and Colonial Flag in the E. P. Taylor (G1) at Woodbine on Sunday.

Keeneland September Sale Alumni Commander, Matador Capture Weekend Stakes

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 22, 2013) – Highlighting the weekend’s stakes results were wins by Keeneland September Yearling Sales graduates Commander in the BC Premier’s Handicap (G3) at Hastings Racecourse and Matador in the Cup and Saucer Stakes at Woodbine.

34 Keeneland September Sale Grads are Grade/Group 1 Winners in 2013

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 7, 2013) – Graduates of Keeneland’s September Yearling Sale accounted for six Grade 1 stakes during the past 10 days, led by the impressive performances of juveniles My Conquestadory (Darley Alcibiades-G1) and We Miss Artie (Dixiana Breeders’ Futurity-G1). Through Sunday, 34 Keeneland September Sale alumni are Grade/Group 1 winners in 2013.

Keeneland Sales Grads Dominate Bourbon Entries

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 6, 2013) – Eight of the 13 juveniles entered for Sunday’s Bourbon Stakes (G3) at Keeneland are graduates of the Keeneland sales, led by recent With Anticipation Stakes (G2) winner Bashart. Other prominent sales alumni competing on Sunday are graded stakes winners Open WaterClosing Range and Wine Princess in Keeneland’s Juddmonte Spinster (G1).

Keeneland September Sale Grad Will Take Charge Powers to Pennsylvania Derby Win

LEXINGTON, KY (SEPT. 23, 2013) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate Will Take Charge, winner of the Travers Stakes (G1) in August at Saratoga, scored his second major win in less than a month on Saturday, capturing the $1 million Pennsylvania Derby (G2) at Parx Racing. The colt is being pointed toward the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) on Nov. 2 at Santa Anita.
