More Than 90 Keeneland Sales Graduates Competing in Graded Stakes Company on Derby Weekend

LEXINGTON, KY (April 30, 2015) – Keeneland is represented by more than 90 sales graduates entered in graded stakes across the country over Kentucky Derby weekend. Eleven of the 15 fillies entered in Friday’s Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) are Keeneland sales alumni as are 14 of the 22 entrants in Saturday’s Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1).

Thirteen Keeneland Sales Graduates Among 21 Horses Entered in $2 Million Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands

LEXINGTON, KY (April 30, 2015) – Thirteen graduates of Keeneland sales, led by multiple Grade 1 winners Carpe Diem and Dortmund, are among the 21 horses entered in Saturday’s 141st running of the $2 million Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1) at Churchill Downs. Approximate post time for the 1¼-mile race for 3-year-olds is 6:34 p.m. ET.

Keeneland Sales Graduates Dominate Entries for $1 Million Longines Kentucky Oaks

LEXINGTON, KY (April 28, 2015) – Keeneland sales graduates represent 11 of the 15 fillies entered today in Friday’s 141st running of the $1 million Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) at Churchill Downs. The Kentucky Oaks is a 1 1/8-mile race for 3-year-old fillies.

Since 1994, Keeneland sales have produced 10 Kentucky Oaks winners. They include Racing Hall of Famer Ashado and Belmont (G1) winner Rags to Riches.

LEXINGTON, KY (April 24, 2015) – Keeneland sales graduate White Rose, winner of the Rood & Riddle Dowager last fall at Keeneland, highlights entries for the Bewitch (G3) on Friday’s closing day of Keeneland’s Spring Meet. Keeneland Sales Graduates Dramedy, Whiskey Ticket Turn in Impressive Graded Stakes Performances

LEXINGTON, KY (April 21, 2015) – Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale graduate Dramedy prevailed by a neck to pull the upset in Keeneland’s 1½-mile Dixiana Elkhorn (G2), his first race at that distance. Whiskey Ticket held off a late charge from fellow 2013 September Yearling Sale graduate Conquest Curlinate to win the Illinois Derby (G3) at Hawthorne in only his second career start. Both stakes were held Saturday.
