LEXINGTON, KY (March 29, 2013) – Graduates of Keeneland sales top the entries in the weekend’s four classic prep races. On the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1), Keeneland-sold champion Shanghai Bobby and Holy Bull Stakes (G3) winner Itsmyluckyday are favored in the Besilu Stables Florida Derby (G1), while Withers Stakes (G3) winner Revolutionary and the highly regarded Palace Malice highlight the Louisiana Derby (G2).

Keeneland-Sold Dullahan, Royal Delta, Animal Kingdom Represent US in Dubai World Cup

LEXINGTON, KY (March 29, 2013) – Champions Royal Delta and Animal Kingdom, and multiple Grade 1 stakes winner Dullahan, all Keeneland sales graduates, are the three American starters entered in Saturday’s $10 million Dubai World Cup (G1) at Meydan Racecourse. Keeneland-sold He’s Had Enough seeks to earn points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1) in the UAE Derby (G2).


Keeneland-Sold Twilight Eclipse Sets World Record in Pan American

LEXINGTON, KY (March 25, 2013) – Keeneland sales graduate Twilight Eclipse established a world-record time of 2:22.63 for 1½ miles on the turf in his four-length win in Saturday’s Pan American Stakes (G2) at Gulfstream. Also on Saturday, Keeneland sales alumni Sky Kingdom and Oilisblackgold finished 1-2 in the Tokyo City Cup (G3) at Santa Anita.



Keeneland Sales Grads Uncaptured, Pure Fun Spotlighted This Weekend

LEXINGTON, KY (March 22, 2013) – Keeneland sales graduates Uncaptured and Pure Fun, each making their 2013 debuts, headline Turfway’s Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati Spiral Stakes (G3) and Fathead Bourbonette Oaks (G3), respectively, on Saturday. Eight of the 12 three-year-olds comprising a deep field in the Spiral, a prep race worth 50 points to the winner on the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1), are Keeneland sales alumni, including Grade 2 winner Balance the Books and the talented Capo Bastone.

Keeneland-Sold Will Take Charge, Joyful Victory Score Big Wins

LEXINGTON, KY (March 18, 2013) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale grads and stablemates Will Take Charge and Oxbow were separated by only a head at the finish of the Rebel Stakes (G2) at Oaklawn on Saturday. For his Rebel win, Will Take Charge earned 50 points and the top spot on the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1) leaderboard.

Keeneland sales alum Joyful Victory became a millionaire with her win in Santa Anita’s Santa Margarita Stakes (G1).


Keeneland Sales Grads Dominate Rebel, Cicada Entries

LEXINGTON, KY (March 15, 2013) – Keeneland sales graduates headline the entries for this weekend’s two classic preps, comprising seven of the 11 sophomores in Oaklawn’s Rebel Stakes (G2), led by likely favorite and Southwest Stakes (G3) winner Super Ninety Nine, and six of the seven fillies, highlighted by Highestmaintenance, entered in the Cicada Stakes at Aqueduct.

LEXINGTON, KY (March 8, 2013) – Three Keeneland sales grads headline their respective Kentucky Derby (G1) and Kentucky Oaks (G1) preps this weekend – the undefeated colts Verrazano (Tampa Bay Derby-G2) and Flashback (San Felipe Stakes-G2), and the filly Flashy Gray (Honeybee Stakes-G3). Verrazano, a 16¼-length allowance winner last month at Gulfstream, will meet fellow Keeneland sale grad Falling Sky, winner of the Sam F. Davis Stakes (G3) at Tampa Bay Downs.

Grade 1 Wins for Keeneland Sales Grads Beholder, Game On Dude

LEXINGTON, KY (March 4, 2013) – Keeneland-sold champion Beholder tops the leaderboard on the Road to the Kentucky Oaks (G1) following her easy win in Saturday’s Las Virgenes (G1) at Santa Anita. Keeneland sales alumni Game On Dude won the Santa Anita Handicap (G1) for a second time, romping to a record 7¾-length victory.





Keeneland-Sold Beholder, Overanalyze Headline Classic Preps

LEXINGTON, KY (Feb. 28, 2013) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduates seek to burnish their classic credentials this weekend in the Las Virgenes Stakes (G1) and Gotham Stakes (G3). Keeneland-sold champion Beholder carries high weight in Santa Anita’s Las Virgenes, a Kentucky Oaks (G1) prep which also features fellow sales alum and Santa Ysabel Stakes (G3) winner Fiftyshadesofhay.
