Keeneland-Sold Hoppertunity Named High Weight in Stephen Foster

LEXINGTON, KY (June 12, 2015) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate and Grade 1 stakes winner Hoppertunity will carry high weight of 121 pounds in Saturday’s Stephen Foster Handicap (G1) at Churchill Downs. Hoppertunity won the Clark Handicap (G1), contested at the same 1 1/8-mile distance as the Stephen Foster, at Churchill Downs last fall. Among the other Keeneland sales alumni competing Saturday are the talented Grade 2 winner Midnight Storm in the Shoemaker Mile (G1) and champion Beholder in the Adoration (G3), both at Santa Anita.

Keeneland September Sale Graduate Curalina Wins Acorn in Stakes Debut

LEXINGTON, KY (June 9, 2015) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate Curalina made her stakes debut a successful one, winning the Acorn (G1) at Belmont on Saturday. Keeneland sales alumni won three other stakes on the Belmont card: Slumber (GB) took the Knob Creek Manhattan (G1); March won the Woody Stephens (G2) and Channel Marker captured the Jaipur Invitational (G3).



More Than 50 Keeneland Sales Graduates Highlight Graded Stakes Entries on Belmont Weekend

LEXINGTON, KY (June 5, 2015) – Keeneland sales alumni are in the spotlight Belmont (G1) weekend, led by five of the eight contenders – Tale of Verve, Madefromlucky, Frammento, Keen Ice and Materiality – entered in Saturday’s final jewel of the Triple Crown.

LEXINGTON, KY (June 3, 2015) – Keeneland sales graduates Frammento, Keen Ice, Madefromlucky, Materiality and Tale of Verve are among the eight horses entered today in the 147th running of the $1.5 million Belmont (G1) Presented by DraftKings on Saturday at Belmont Park.

Approximate post time for the 1 1/2-mile race for 3-year-olds is 6:50 p.m. ET.

Keeneland-Sold Divisidero Sets Course Record in Winning Pennine Ridge

LEXINGTON, KY (June 1, 2015) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate Divisidero got up in the final strides to win Belmont’s Pennine Ridge Stakes by a neck in course record time on Saturday. On the same race card, Lady Eli established herself at the top of the sophomore filly turf division with a win in the Wonder Again Stakes.

LEXINGTON, KY (May 29, 2015) – Graded stakes winner Consumer Credit and stablemate Mrs McDougal, both graduates of Keeneland’s 2013 September Yearling Sale, top entries for Saturday’s American Oaks (G1) at Santa Anita. LEXINGTON, KY (May 18, 2015) – Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduate Stopchargingmaria overcame a bad start to win Pimlico’s Allaire duPont Distaff (G3) by four lengths on Friday. On the same race card, Keeneland September Sale alum Keen Pauline was the upset winner of the Black-Eyed Susan (G2).

Keeneland Sales Graduate Kentuckian Impressive in Lazaro Barrera Victory

LEXINGTON, KY (May 11, 2015) Kentuckian, purchased by Rick Porter’s Fox Hill Farm at Keeneland’s 2013 September Yearling Sale, displayed his talent with a 6¼-length romp in Sunday’s Lazaro Barrera (G3) at Santa Anita. On Saturday at Belmont, Keeneland sales alumni Twilight Eclipse captured the Man o’War (G1) and Madefromlucky took the Peter Pan (G2).

Keeneland Sales Graduate and Grade 1 Winner Hardest Core Makes Season Debut in Man o’War

LEXINGTON, KY (May 8, 2015) – Keeneland sales graduate and 2014 Arlington Million (G1) winner Hardest Core makes his 2015 debut in Saturday’s Man o’War (G1) at Belmont, where he will meet fellow sales alumni and multiple graded stakes winners War Dancer and Twilight Eclipse. Also on Saturday at Belmont, all five starters in the Peter Pan (G2) are Keeneland sales graduates, led by Northern Spur winner Wolf Man Rocket, while Rampart (G3) and Top Flight (G3) winner House Rules highlights the field for the Ruffian (G2).

More Than 90 Keeneland Sales Graduates Competing in Graded Stakes Company on Derby Weekend

LEXINGTON, KY (April 30, 2015) – Keeneland is represented by more than 90 sales graduates entered in graded stakes across the country over Kentucky Derby weekend. Eleven of the 15 fillies entered in Friday’s Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) are Keeneland sales alumni as are 14 of the 22 entrants in Saturday’s Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1).
