Local Color Sells for $45,000 at Thursday Session

 

Local Color, an eight-year-old mare by Capote out of the Excusive Native mare Setting, brought a final bid of $45,000 to lead Thursday’s session of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. In foal to Square Eddie, she is a half-sister to Vivid Angel, winner of the Oak Leaf Stakes (G1).

 She was purchased by Rancho San Jose and was consigned by Indian Creek, agent.

Impressive Maiden Winner Flashy Gray Brings $775,000 on Tuesday at Keeneland

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 13, 2012) – Flashy Gray, a two-year-old filly by Flashy Bull who broke her maiden by 10¼ lengths at Churchill Downs on November 8, sold for $775,000 to West Point Thoroughbreds and Tom Keithley, contributing to double-digit gains across the board during Tuesday’s session of the November Breeding Stock Sale.

Flashy Gray has recorded two starts, finishing second by a head in her career debut at Keeneland on October 5, followed by her impressive maiden score at Churchill Downs.

Keeneland-Sold Daisy Devine Takes Cardinal; Juvenile Grads Excel

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 12, 2012) – Keeneland sales grads Daisy Devine, Julie’s Love (GB) and Last Full Measure swept the top three spots in Churchill Downs’ Cardinal Handicap (G3) on Saturday.
