Keeneland Catalogs 4,476 Horses for November Breeding Stock Sale

Sale immediately follows Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Keeneland

LEXINGTON, KY (Sept. 30, 2015) – Keeneland has cataloged 4,476 horses for its 2015 November Breeding Stock Sale, which will be held Nov. 2-13 and start two days after the track hosts the Breeders’ Cup World Championships for the first time.

Regis Farms, LP to Disperse Thoroughbred Stock at Keeneland November Sale; Names Three Chimneys Farm as Agent

LEXINGTON, KY (Sept. 1, 2015) – Nat Rea’s Regis Farms, LP announced today that it will offer a complete dispersal of its Thoroughbred bloodstock holdings at Keeneland’s 2015 November Breeding Stock Sale, to be held Nov. 2-14. Three Chimneys Farm has been selected to represent Regis Farms as consignor of the dispersal, which is comprised of 41 horses, including 15 broodmares, 6 weanlings and 20 horses of racing age, all to be offered without reserve.

Keeneland-Sold Slumber Seeks to Enhance Grade 1 Credentials in Arlington Million

LEXINGTON, KY (Aug. 14, 2015) – Keeneland sales are represented by 35 alumni entered in graded stakes across North America this weekend, led by Grade 1 winners Slumber (GB) in the Arlington Million (G1) and Stephanie’s Kitten in the Beverly D. (G1), both at Arlington, and Sunset Glow in the Del Mar Oaks (G1) at Del Mar.

Keeneland sales graduates Saratoga Mischief and Exaggerator, recent maiden winners at Saratoga and Del Mar, respectively, highlight entries for the Saratoga Special (G2) on Sunday.

Market Remains Strong on Thursday With One Day Remaining of Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 13, 2014) – Songs and Sonnets, a winning daughter of Unbridled’s Song in foal to Alternation, sold for $115,000 to top Thursday’s session of Keeneland’s  November Breeding Stock Sale.

Cumulatively, 2,350 horses have sold for $204,830,100 during the first 10 days of the sale, a 3.9 percent increase from last year’s gross of $197,189,000 for 2,457 horses during the same period. The average of $87,162 is 8.6 percent above the $80,256 in 2013, while the median of $40,000 represents a 14.3 percent increase from $35,000 in 2013.

$85,000 Weanling Colt Leads Solid Wednesday Session of Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 12, 2014) – A weanling colt by Pioneerof the Nile sold to C. J. E. Stable for $85,000, the highest amount spent on a horse at Wednesday’s ninth session of Keeneland’s 71st November Breeding Stock Sale during a day of across-the-board increases.

Keeneland sold 242 horses for $4,165,200, marking a four percent increase from the corresponding session last year when 271 horses brought $3,998,100. The average of $17,212 was 16.7 percent above last year’s average $14,753, and the median of $12,000 was 14.3 percent higher than the $10,500 in 2013.

Keeneland November Exceeds 2013 Gross Sales on Eighth Day

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 11, 2014) – The strong market continued at Keeneland on Tuesday when gross receipts of $197,747,400 through eight sessions of the 11-day November Breeding Stock Sale surpassed total sales of $197,189,000 recorded for 2013’s entire 10-day auction.

Weanling Colts Lead Bullish Sixth Session of Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale

LEXINGTON, KY (Nov. 9, 2014) – A weanling colt by Trappe Shot sold to Baccari Bloodstock for $200,000 and a weanling colt by Hard Spun purchased by McMahon & Hill Bloodstock LLC, agent, for $195,000 highlighted a day of brisk trading during Sunday’s sixth session of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.
