Momentum Continues, Produces $750,000 Uncle Mo Colt on Saturday at Keeneland September Yearling Sale

 

LEXINGTON, KY (Sept. 17, 2016) – Trade continued at a brisk pace on Saturday at Keeneland’s September Yearling Sale, registering strong results for the final day of Book 2 and generating the sale of an Uncle Mo colt for $750,000. 

$750,000 Uncle Mo colt leads Saturday of Keeneland September Yearling Sale

LEXINGTON, KY (Sept. 17, 2016) – A colt by Uncle Mo consigned by Columbiana Farm, agent, sold to Lane's End for $750,000 to lead the action so far during Saturday's session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale. Saturday marks the second and final day of the Book 2 catalog and the fifth of 13 sessions of the sale.

The colt is out of the winning stakes-placed mare Magical Victory, by Victory Gallop. She is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Papa Clem.

$1 Million Curlin colt leads Friday at Keeneland September Yearling Sale

LEXINGTON, KY (Sept. 16, 2016) – Bob and Cassidy Edwards’ E5 Racing Thoroughbreds of Florida signaled its desire to participate at racing’s highest level by purchasing through Mike Ryan, agent, a $1 million colt by Curlin during Friday’s fourth session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, which saw active trade that fueled across-the-board increases in results.

Half-Brother to Champion Beholder Sells for $3 Million Wednesday at Keeneland

LEXINGTON, KY (Sept. 14, 2016) – A son of Scat Daddy who is a half-brother to multiple champion Beholder and Grade 1 winner and sire Into Mischief sold to Coolmore's M.V. Magnier for $3 million about 1½ hours after the start of Wednesday’s session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

The amount is the highest paid for a Thoroughbred at any public auction around the world in 2016. It is the highest paid for a yearling at the September Sale since 2010.

$1.2 Million Tapit-Hooh Why Colt Tops Tuesday Session of Keeneland September Yearling Sale

LEXINGTON, KY (Sept. 13, 2016) – A colt by Tapit out of Grade 1 winner Hooh Why sold to J.J. Crupi for $1.2 million late during Tuesday's second session of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

Baccari Bloodstock, agent, consigned the colt. Winner of Keeneland's 2009 Ashland (G1), Hooh Why is by Cloud Hopping.

LEXINGTON, KY (Sept. 13, 2016) – Charlie Boden, agent, who bought two yearlings for $565,000: “Keeneland September is the biggest and best array of quality yearlings in the world. Being able to come here is a treat because it is a great place to buy good stock.”
