Keeneland Sales Alumni Shine at Churchill Downs On Oaks/Derby Weekend

LEXINGTON, KY (May 4, 2015) Lovely Maria, Dame Dorothy and Molly Morgan, all alumni of Keeneland sales, secured Grade 1 wins at Churchill Downs this weekend: Brereton Jones’s Lovely Maria earned her second Grade 1 victory, taking the Longines Kentucky Oaks following a win in Keeneland’s Central Bank Ashland (G1) last month; Bobby Flay’s Dame Dorothy won the Humana Distaff over champion and fellow sales graduate Judy the Beauty; and Bill Cubbedge’s Molly Morgan avenged last year’s second-place finish with a victory in the La Troienne.

Keeneland Sales Grads Fashion Plate, Will Take Charge, She’s a Tiger Headline Kentucky Oaks Day Stakes Entries

LEXINGTON, KY (April 30, 2014) – Twenty-four Keeneland sales alumni are featured in stakes on Friday’s Kentucky Oaks Day card at Churchill Downs. Eight of the 13 sophomore fillies entered for the $1 million Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) are graduates of Keeneland sales, led by multiple Grade 1 winner Fashion Plate and graded stakes winners Aurelia’s Belle, My Miss Sophia and Sugar Shock.

LEXINGTON, KY (April 30, 2014) – Two-time Grade 1 winner Fashion Plate headlines the eight Keeneland sales graduates that are among the 13 3-year-old fillies entered in Friday’s 140th running of the $1 million Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) at Churchill Downs.

Since 1994, Keeneland sales have produced 10 Kentucky Oaks winners. They include 2014 Racing Hall of Fame inductee Ashado and Belmont (G1) winner Rags to Riches.

Celebrate Oaks and Derby Days at Keeneland

LEXINGTON, KY (April 29, 2014) – Keeneland will hold the biggest party in Lexington for the May 2 Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) and May 3 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1). Fans will be able to watch and wager on those races and others from Churchill Downs as well as other major tracks in North America on both days.

Admission is free on Oaks Day and $5 per person on Derby Day; kids 12 and younger will be admitted free.
