Paynter and Elusive Kate, both graduates of Keeneland’s 2010 September Yearling Sale, were dominating in their respective stakes performances at home and abroad on Sunday. Keeneland-sold horses finished 1-2-3 in the $1 million Haskell Invitational (G1) at Monmouth Park, in which Zayat Stables’ Paynter powered to a 3¾-length win, followed by Nonios and Stealcase. The Haskell victory establishes Paynter among the top three-year-old colts in North America and a strong contender for the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) in November.
