Keeneland Sales Grads Prominent Among Weekend Graded Stakes Entries

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 19, 2012) – Keeneland sales alumni top the weekend’s graded stakes entries, highlighted by graded stakes winners Colonial Flag, More Than Love and Dancing Solo in Friday’s two divisions of the Pin Oak Valley View (G3); and Gypsy Robin and Via Villaggio in the Lexus Raven Run (G2) on Saturday. Both stakes will be run at Keeneland.

Keeneland Sales Graduates Earn Seven Grade 1 Wins

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 1, 2012) – In a spectacular weekend of racing, Keeneland sales alumni swept 12 graded stakes in the U.S. and England, including seven Grade 1 wins – champion Royal Delta (Beldame Invitational-G1); Game On Dude (Awesome Again Stakes-G1); Power Broker FrontRunner Stakes-G1); Executiveprivilege (Chandelier Stakes-G1); Marketing Mix (Rodeo Drive Stakes-G1); Love and Pride (Zenyatta Stakes-G1) and Certify (Shadwell Fillies Mile-G1).

LEXINGTON, KY (Sept. 28, 2012) – Keeneland sales graduates account for 59 entries competing in this weekend’s multiple graded stakes at Belmont and Santa Anita.

Keeneland Sales Grads Dominate Travers, Pacific Classic Entries

LEXINGTON, KY (August 24, 2012) – Fifty-nine Keeneland sales graduates are entered in North American graded stakes this weekend. Nine of the 11 three-year-olds set to go in Saturday’s Travers Stakes (G1) at Saratoga are Keeneland sales alumni, including graded stakes winners Liaison and Nonios. Six of the 10 horses entered for Sunday’s TVG Pacific Classic (G1) at Del Mar are Keeneland sales grads, highlighted by Grade 1 winners Dullahan, Jaycito and Game On Dude.

Keeneland Sales Alum Lady of Shamrock Stamps Herself Best in the West

LEXINGTON, KY (August 20, 2012) – Keeneland sale graduate Lady of Shamrock established herself as the top turf filly in the West with a come-from-behind win in Saturday’s Del Mar Oaks (G1). It marked the fourth victory in Lady of Shamrock’s last five starts, and her second consecutive Grade 1 win, having taken the American Oaks (G1) in July at Hollywood.

Keeneland sale alum Stephanie’s Kitten surpassed $1 million in career earnings with her win in Sunday’s Woodford Reserve Lake Placid (G2) at Saratoga.

Keeneland-Sold Horses Shine on East/West Coasts

LEXINGTON, KY (August 6, 2012) – Only a nose separated 2010 Keeneland September Yearling Sale graduates Emma’s Encore and Judy the Beauty in their 1-2 finish in the Grade 1 Prioress Stakes at Saratoga. Fellow 2010 September Sale grad Macho Macho captured the West Virginia Derby (G2) at Mountaineer, while 2011 September Sale alum Know More won the Best Pal (G2) in his career debut.

Shackleford, Switch Among Accomplished Keeneland Sales Grads Competing this Weekend

LEXINGTON, KY (August 3, 2012) – Keeneland September Yearling Sales alumni Shackleford and Switch headline graded stakes entries at Saratoga and Del Mar, respectively, this weekend. Shackleford, winner of the 2011 Preakness (G1) and 2012 Metropolitan (G1) and Churchill Downs Stakes (G2), will carry high weight of 121 pounds in Sunday’s Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap (G1) at Saratoga.  At Del Mar, multiple Grade 1 winner and millionaire Switch stretches out in the 1 1/16-mile Clement L. Hirsch Stakes (G1).

Keeneland-Sold Royal Delta, Bern Identity Capture Grade 2 Stakes

LEXINGTON, KY (July 23, 2012) – Champion and Keeneland sale graduate Royal Delta, carrying high weight of 124 pounds, gamely held on to win the Delaware Handicap (G2) by a neck on Saturday at Delaware Park. Keeneland-sold juvenile Bern Identity rallied from off the pace to win Sunday’s Sanford Stakes (G2) at Saratoga by 1¼ lengths.
