Moonwalk Earns Breeders’ Cup Berth with JPMorgan Chase Jessamine Victory

 

Spendthrift Farm’s homebred Moonwalk, dismissed at 36-1 odds, held off Kitten’s Point by a nose to win the 22nd running of the $150,000 JPMorgan Chase Jessamine (Grade 3) for 2-year-old fillies before a crowd of 10,051 at Keeneland.

Spring in the Air Rallies to Win Darley Alcibiades; Sum of the Parts Streaks to Stoll Keenon Ogden Phoenix Victory

LEXINGTON, KY (Oct. 5, 2012) –  John Oxley’s Spring in the Air rallied from far off the pace to win the 61st running of the $400,000 Darley Alcibiades (G1) for 2-year-old fillies by a length over Broken Spell before a sun-splashed Fall Meet opening-day crowd of 18,417.

In the race preceding the Darley Alcibiades, Klaravich Stables and William H. Lawrence’s Sum of the Parts led all the way to win the 160th running of the $175,000 Stoll Keenon Ogden Phoenix (G3) by 1¼ lengths over Noble’s Promise.
