Keeneland Releases Security Protocols for 2015 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes Horses

LEXINGTON, KY (March 25, 2015) – Keeneland has announced security measures for horses participating in the $1 million Toyota Blue Grass (G1), a nationally prominent prep for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1), to be held Saturday, April 4.

Horses competing in the Toyota Blue Grass are required to be on the Keeneland grounds 54 hours in advance of the race, no later than noon on Thursday, April 2. Twenty-four-hour security for each entrant will begin at noon on April 2 and end at 6 p.m., post time for the Toyota Blue Grass, on April 4.

LEXINGTON, KY (April 12, 2014) – Sharon Alesia, Bran Jam Stable and Ciaglia Racing’s Dance With Fate swept past pace-setting Pablo Del Monte at midstretch and had more than enough to hold off Medal Count by 1 3/4 lengths to win the 90th running of the $750,000 Toyota Blue Grass (G1) for 3-year-olds before a sun-splashed crowd of 39,722 at Keeneland on Saturday.

Keeneland Sale Graduates Showcased in Saturday Graded Stakes

LEXINGTON, KY (April 12, 2014) – Forty-seven graduates of the Keeneland sales are entered in Saturday graded stakes, dominating the fields for the day’s two major Kentucky Derby (G1) preps – the Toyota Blue Grass (G1) and the Arkansas Derby (G1).

Trainer Charlie LoPresti was one happy camper Saturday morning, the day after Morton Fink’s reigning two-time Horse of the Year Wise Dan made a triumphant return to the races with a victory in the Maker’s 46 Mile (G1) on Friday.
