Two cornhole game experts show the rest of us how's it is done. These guys took part in the Tops in Lex Cornhole tournament held at the Keene Barn as part of SEEBlue Day.

War Monger, who was third behind Thorn Song in the Shadwell Turf Mile (G1), covered five furlongs in 1:01.80 at Keeneland on Oct. 19. The five-year-old son of War Chant is scheduled to run in the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1).

Pioneerof the Nile worked in company, covering five furlongs in 1:00.40 at Keeneland on Oct. 19. The Empire Maker colt is scheduled to make his next start in the Bessemer Trust Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1).

Terrain, a contender in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile, worked four furlongs over the Keeneland Polytrack in :48.40 for trainer Al Stall, Jr.

Shakis, a contender in the Breeders' Cup Mile, worked four furlongs in :47.6 over the Keeneland Polytrack on Oct. 18 for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin.

Breeders' Cup Mile contender My Pal Charlie worked four furlongs over the Keeneland Polytrack in :50.8 on Oct. 18.

Laragh, a contender for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies, worked four furlongs if 47:60 over Keeneland's Polytrack on Oct. 18.

Dream Empress worked five furlongs in company with stablemate Bounissimo. The pair was timed in :59.80. Dream Empress, a Bernstein filly trained by Ken McPeek, was pre-entered in the $2 million Bessemer Trust Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) and in the $1 million Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf .

Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile contender Lewis Michael worked seven furlongs in 1:25.60 over Keeneland's Polytrack on October 17.

Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint contender worked 4 furlongs over Keeneland's turf course in 49.8 on Oct. 16 for trainer Bret Calhoun, with Jamie Theriot aboard.

Forever Together, in preparation for her next start in the Emirates Airline Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf, worked five furlongs over Keeneland's polytrack in 1:00:80 on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

 

 

Keeneland's College Scholarship Day drew more than 4,200 students from across the country.

Keeneland and members of the Central Kentucky Thoroughbred industry partnered to host a  Make-A-Wish Day on Wednesday, Oct. 8. Nine Central Kentucky children with life-threatening diseases and their families were guests of honor at Keeneland, enjoying a VIP lunch and an afternoon at the races.  Watch this heart-warming video about their day.
