Breeders' Cup 2015: A Homecoming for the Ages

A vision originated by Lexington horseman John Gaines, the Breeders’ Cup celebrated a homecoming in 2015 as Keeneland hosted the storied event. The two-day championships offered a rich connection with Central Kentucky as many of the talented contenders were foaled and raised on local Thoroughbred farms and often sold at Keeneland.

It certainly was a homecoming for the ages, culminating with Triple Crown winner American Pharoah’s historic Grand Slam in the Breeders’ Cup Classic. We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to Keeneland’s success in hosting the World Championships. No winner’s circle could hold all the thousands of people who made it all possible. We encourage you to view some of the highlights from Keeneland’s first Breeders’ Cup in the heart of horse country.
