| Keeneland Realizes Near-Record Attendance for Fall Race Meeting | | October 27, 2008 |
Keeneland recorded near-record attendance of 239, 117 for its 2008 fall race meeting, held October 3-25. The total ranks as the second-largest fall meet attendance in Keeneland history, just shy of last year’s record 239,296. Average daily attendance of 14,066 was only 10 fewer than the 14,076 reported in 2007. |

Keeneland’s recently completed 2008 fall meeting, the first since the track implemented its revolutionary handicapping tool Polycapping, showed a decided improvement amongst the horseplaying public. With 49 of 158 winning favorites for the meeting on all surfaces, the public honed in on the winning horse at a 31-percent clip overall for the meeting. |
