st Race: POLITICALLYCORRECT (#4) won over this track two weeks ago and looks like a good bet to make it two in a row with Albin Jiminez back aboard for trainer Wesley Ward. CANNON LUKE (#2) is a consistent runner from the Tom Amoss barn who has to be respected. BROWNEYED BACHELOR (#6) moves up a notch after being claimed by trainer Bret Calhoun and is a contender.
nd Race: SOUTHERN GEM (#3) showed big improvement in her second career start for trainer Todd Pletcher. She is bred to handle today's added distance and looks best with John Velazuqez aboard. TANCOOK (#1) needed her race at Gulfstream after a four-month layoff and can be expected to move forward. DYNA’S RECOLETA (#6) finished right behind the second pick last out and is a solid contender.
rd Race: TALE OF VERVE (#5) just missed last out and trainer Dallas Stewart's horses have been running well this meet. He is a well-bred runner who appears to be in a good spot to pick up his maiden win. WILDLIFE ARTIST (#2) is still a maiden after 14 tries but has the benefit of some races at today's distance and is the one to beat. CANDY GRAN (#3) is lightly raced and could improve.
th Race: FINE INSTINCTS (#5) ran a decent race on the sloppy track here on opening day and moves to the turf for this one. She has the tactical speed to be in contention throughout and rates a slight edge for trainer Todd Pletcher and jockey Javier Castellano. MIGHTY MOON (#6) has the benefit of a race at this distance and figures to be ready for a top effort in her third career start. KITTEN'S ANGEL (#2) had a terrible trip last out and is a solid threat.
th Race: OUTWORK (#5) is a well-bred son of Uncle Mo who has been training well in Florida. Trainer Todd Pletcher should have him ready and he gets the slight edge over Finnegan in a close call. FINNEGAN (#3) had a recent bullet work over the Keeneland strip and will be hard to beat with Joel Rosario up for trainer Wesley Ward. SKYNAMIC (#2) has had a race and could improve.
th Race: TOWN EXTENSION (#9) is just 1 for 15 but has finished in the money in 7 of his last 8 races. He appears to have found a good spot to get his second career win for trainer Barclay Tagg. CLASSIC BREW (#6) exits the same race as the top pick. He was beaten by three lengths on that day but is lightly races and capable of improvement. RHYTHM BLUES (#12) moves to the barn of trainer Michael Matz and is a first-time gelding with blinkers on today.
th Race: KISSED BY A ROSE (#3) is a 4-year-old taking on mostly younger rivals. She just missed in her only race in Tampa and gets the nod in what looks like a well-matched race. GREELY'S STRIKER (#6) has the benefit of a start over the Keeneland strip and has been in the money in six of her nine races. MARQUEE CAL GAL (#8) is also a 4-year-old but she has been idle since last April and may need the race.
th Race: HEYAARAT (#2) is a high-priced Keeneland sales grad who has shown improvement in every start. He has never been the distance but owns a win at a mile and a quarter and trainer Kiaran McLaughlin is having a terrific meet. Give him the edge in a wide-open allowance race. INNOVATION ECONOMY (#3) has been off since November but is training steadily for Chad Brown and looked very good winning his last race going 1 3/8 miles. PERFECT TIMBER (#12) is proven at the distance but is a 6-year-old who hasn't won a race in two years.
th Race: WONDERFUL REMARK (#4) and IRON IN THE FIRE (#6) are both trained by Wesley Ward but run uncoupled. Take your pick. PROPOSITION JOE (#9) is training well.
