Race 1: SCRUMPDILICIOUS (4) has been very consistent competing against allowance company and now runs for a tag for the current leading owners hoping to capture another title. He has a good work since his last race. DEEP BOTTOM (6) runs for a top-notch trainer with decent dirt form. CHIEF’S REVENGE (3) makes his second start over the track this meet and gets a positive rider switch for a better effort.
Race 2: GNARLY HARLY (3) should improve second start over the track with early speed. MR. CANADA (6) drops in class with an equipment change to blinkers off and sharp work since his last effort. MALIBU PARK (2) should like the turn back in distance second start this meet.
Race 3: C’EST MOI (1) has two late running efforts on the turf to be a contender second time on the grass at Keeneland. WHIMSICALITY (5) just missed first time on the grass with a troubled trip. SEASON TICKET (3) returns fresh and steps back down against allowance company.
Race 4: ARTSY (3) hopes for a clean getaway for a wire-to-wire performance. SECOND BASE (6) leads into the race sharp off a win and moves up in class for top connections on the grounds. MAKENZIE’S MAGIC (7) should improve off her last race against slightly easier company.
Race 5: GREY WIZARD (7) ran second in a key race first time out and exits a rough break with a wide trip. Barn prevails with turf runners and this could be another one. TIZ TOWN (2) likes to run third, but could be ready to get over the hump with a brief freshening with a sharp rider aboard. HONORABLE (9) gets a second chance with first time Lasix and blinkers on for a better impression on the turf.
Race 6: HIDDEN CANDY (3) catches a soft maiden-claiming field for a winning effort today. LEFLORE COUNTY (1) leads into the race off a good effort in the mud. HARDESTY (5) could surprise us with a big effort at first asking from a capable barn with consistent works.
Race 7: CHOCOLATIER (7) has been training well for her U.S. debut including a nice work over the Keeneland turf in the morning (CL). Barn has been hot with turf runners this meet. CASH FOR EVER (9) hopes for a relax trip for a better effort as she makes her first start as a 4yo. EMPRESS MAKER (6) is a talented filly on the grass that makes her third start off the layoff with an improved effort last time out.
Race 8: EASTWOOD (5) appears to be ready off the layoff with good works in the a.m. for the Pletcher stable. The 5yo has stalking ability to be tough at the distance. SANDBAR (2) has a bullet work to be ready for a better effort going short. WHO’S IN TOWN (7) also has fast works to be sharp off the bench.
Race 9: The Grade 3 Bewitch Stakes
TABREED (10) has been tough at this level the last four starts to be a contender today. WHITE ROSE (11) won the Dowager Stakes here last year and she is reunited with jockey Bridgmohan for another shot to win at the distance for the second time. HELLENISTIC (14) was impressive in her U.S. start and could be dangerous if she moves forward second start off the break with a breeze over the Keeneland turf.
Race 10: YAKOV (8) has early speed to get a good trip from gate to wire first off the claim for sharp connections (27%) plus he has consistent works to be ready. CAHPPY (2) is lightly raced as he leads into the race off a brief freshening for a solid effort from off the pace. ZANDER ZONE (3) drops in class and has a sharp breeze in the morning.
