Race 1: RICH DADDY (1) has been in some tough spots prior to his race against claimers when he was claimed into a high percentage barn then won at the same distance as today and takes a soft starter allowance field. ROYAL BLESSING (2) has a win over the dirt track, but best efforts come over softer footing. NORTHEAST BOUND (5) hopes to redeem himself with another attempt at the distance for competitive outfit.
Race 2: SISTER KAN (4) is reunited with jockey Osorio who broke her maiden and expected to sit just off the pace, which hopefully some early pacesetters amongst the group including second choice, LOOKFORASMILE (7), who could be the lone speed running fresh for a capable trainer. PINCH HIT (5) looks for a repeat of last out at a slightly longer distance.
Race 3: SHES TRICKY (6) exits her best effort, which was on the turf and should like the cut back in distance. GRATEFUL (1) has excellent form on the turf and barn does well with runners off the bench. GENTLE KITTEN (9) returns off a break as well and has solid form on the turf with tactical speed.
Race 4: LADY LT. (3) makes a substantial class drop to get back to the winner’s circle and appears she has been training sharply for an easy victory hopefully. TIZ MADNESS (6) has decent form to be a player back on the dirt and possibly forwardly placed with jockey Albarado aboard. DOUBLE FIRST (1) won at the distance in stalking fashion last month.
Race 5: IRST (4) was bumped at the start and rallied late for second best. He makes his 3yo debut from the highly competitive Pletcher barn to be a serious player today. EXTRICATE (2) made a move too soon and gets a new rider for his second career start, which could be all he needs. BOOKMAN (7) flashed quick early speed and improved last out to be a contender at long odds.
Race 6: ENCHANTING KITTEN (8) won impressively on debut and she’s back for more on the grass for the sharp turf barn. VICTORY TO VICTORY (1) won at the distance to break her maiden and has powerful works to be a major player for the Casse barn. DANCELAND (7) makes her second start over the turf at Keeneland this meet and hoping for a better trip.
Race 7: GAME TIME DECISION (8) is a true sprinter that will be tough to beat in this spot. STAGEPLAY (2) returns off almost a one-year layoff to the track where she broke her maiden and a good series of works to be ready today. BLIP N’THE BYE (4) gets a brief freshening to be a serious contender just a few lengths off the early pace at nice odds.
Race 8: LOOSE ON THE TOWN (5) ran his best on the turf first time and returns to prove he belongs on the grass off the long break for 18% trainer with layoff runners. CANADIAN FLYER (11) is another frontrunner that should improve with a stronger performance second start off the break. WHISKEY BRAVO (8) love to win turf sprints to fit well at 5-1 odds.
Race 9: CHESTER MON (11) removes the blinkers after a dull effort last outing and a sharp work along with a drop in class should do the trick. THE HAMS SUM ONE (6) drops vastly in class and seems to prefer sprinting, but dirt surface is the question. HARD KNOCK LIFE (2) exits an improved effort and should give another solid effort with some early speed from the rail.
