    Saturday, October 28th, 2017

Race 1:  CHASING THE BUCK (3) should be tough from gate to wire as she goes for three consecutive wins.  CHARITY STRIPE (4) runs well fresh and hopes to repeat her lone victory at Keeneland during the last meet.  MY SUGAR (1) is a sharp closer that competes second start off the claim with a bullet work.

    Picks 3-4-1

Race 2:  GOOGLEADO (5) should be tough just off the early pace with most wins at the distance.  MORE THAN SHIRL (6) has been a consistent runner at similar distances and he’s popular at the claiming box.  His quick turn of foot may help him as he moves up in class first off the claim.  LEROI’S THIRLL (1) may be the best of the early speed, which he needs to show to make a turnaround off his last against lesser today.

    Picks 5-6-1

Race 3:  SURPRISE PRIZE (9) gets away from the rail to move forward second time over the track in a soft maiden claiming race.  PAR PLAY (10) faces lesser second time out as a maiden and runs with blinkers on.  PRAY FOR KITTEN (3) has three solid efforts and the one to beat if he likes the shorter distance.

    Picks 9-10-3

Race 4:  NEED THE WALL (1) competes at the same level and hopes to improve at second asking with a blowout work.  GRETOUKI (2) drops in class to show more with jockey Albarado aboard and breaks from the rail to show more speed today.  MERRI MESA (7) has a sharp recent drill to leap forward if she gets a chance to shine down the stretch.

    Picks 1-2-7

Race 5:  BANDITO (9) should be forwardly placed the gate and should handle the longer distance for a sharp outfit plus he’s training well.  ART OF THE DREAM (10) is well bred for the grass and hopefully offer more at second asking for capable connections.  MISCHIEVOUS DANCER (3) is purchased for $295k and gets a better draw to get involved sooner and run better in this spot.

    Picks 9-10-3

Race 6:  MISS GRACER (9) won on the dirt and proven she can handle the distance after two solid turf routes to be dangerous from the gate.  DANCE PROPOSAL (3) should get a fast track to prove she’s the real deal against allowance company and could lay close for a good trip.  AWESOME BOSS (4) exits a sharp performance to move forward today as the favorite.

    Picks 9-3-4

Race 7:  MR CUB (5) was impressive when he won the first level allowance race and flashed early speed in the Jefferson Cup going 9f that 3yo should like the turn back in distance.  BINGO KITTEN (1) tries hard every time no matter the level to make the veteran runner dangerous in this spot.  SHUT THE BAR (10) competes first off the claim for 14% barn and exits a decent effort while moving up in class with solid turf form.

    Picks 5-1-10

Race 8:  TARQUINIA (1) wears blinkers and has the rail to be a major player from the start to finish.  SHAR RUN (2) should be tough if ready off the layoff as she ran against MISS KENTUCKY who has multiple wins including a victory at Keeneland this week.  STAR QUEST (8) has been a serious stretch threat in the past if she can run back to her old form and the price could be right.

    Picks 1-2-8

Race 9:  The Grade 2 Haygard Fayette Stakes

HONORABLE DUTY (5) won wire to wire in the Lukas Classic last out and he’s versatile to come from off the early pace to make his the one to watch in the final feature stakes.  MCCRAKEN (6) exits a deep field in the Travers with a brief freshening and intriguing works to be a key contender today.  NEOLITHIC (2) should be the main speed of the bunch from the Pletcher barn.

    Picks 5-6-2

Race 10:  INTO SUMMER (5) ran decent in a competitive allowance race at Saratoga then just missed over a wet turf course. Filly returns fresh and training sharply for an outstanding effort today.  WELL HUMORED (2) won by several on debut in an off the turf event and now gets the chance to prove herself on the grass while facing winners first time.  AWESOME SONG (7) returns to a better suited distance and should be lay close for the right trip.

    Picks 5-2-7
