Race 1: BELISAMA (4) tries two turns first time in a soft maiden claiming race for $50k. PRAYER BELL (6) is a longtime maiden with best Beyer speed figures on the dirt and runs with blinkers off. PRAISING (5) has a sharp breeze from the gate since her last start.
Race 2: VIRGINIA’S JOY (5) runs first off the claim and should be tough in stalking position while returning to the dirt. DON’T TELL ME NO (4) won by several lengths a few weeks ago coming off a short rest for a competitive sprint barn. BEFUDDLER (6) makes her second start over the track to improve with an experience rider in the irons.
Race 3: CRITTENDEN (5) exits a tough maiden allowance race with a wide trip that hopes to improve at second asking for sharp connections. VALUE VOUCHER (9) has a sharp breeze (Clocker report) prior to his first start on the dirt. HOLIDAY TOUCH (8) has early speed drawn to the outside.
Race 4: CUPPA JOE (12) will have to overcome the outside post, but nice pedigree for the grass with two good showings over it. Sharp turf rider in the irons. COV (11) also well bred for the grass and should improve in this spot, but makes his eighth lifetime start. FT DAVIS (9) has siblings that have won on the grass and outran his odds on debut. He has consistent works to be ready off the layoff.
Race 5: GIMMEADRINK (6) has two wins at the distance and the 7yo is versatile with a bullet work over the track. ALMOST ENGLISH (1) runs first off the claim in a starter allowance race for “hot hands.” He should run better second start off a long layoff. EDDIE SET GO (10) is very consistent veteran runner that moves back to the dirt with tactical speed.
Race 6: EDDY GOURMET (11) ran a close third behind the talented LA MADRINA at Saratoga three starts back and very consistent in sprint races. She has outside speed to be a major player against this group. DUCASA (6) may need a race, but she has plenty of works to be fit. Interesting trainer/jockey duo. TONI’S HOLLYDAY (9) has several fast works including a bullet 3 furlong breeze on Oct. 15th (clocker report). She runs with blinkers off.
Race 7: READY FOR SUMMER (3) has good turf form for sharp outfit and winner got away on the frontend last time out. She deserves another chance at decent odds compared to the favorite, KIAMA (11), that is the most consistent of the group and a big threat from the outside. CROOKEDPATHTOGLORY (7) ran well over a yielding turf here last year and exits a troubled trip. She should move forward second start off the break.
Race 8: BELLARMINE (6) competes second start off the break and should be forwardly placed from the gate for a good trip from a top-notch stable. ERIUGENA (4) has been tough at the allowance level especially at the distance and exits a win on the dirt. JOY BOY (1) has early speed on the rail and exits a career best.
Race 9: The Grade II Lexus Raven Run Stakes
DIVIDED ATTENTION (6) is a well-bred filly that won impressively at the distance in an allowance race at Saratoga last outing and now moves up in class. She ran second behind multiple graded stakes winner STOPCHARGINGMARIA and major player stalking the pace. MISS BEHAVIOUR (11) will be tough with outside sitting on or near the lead at the distance. She exits a sharp performance in the G3 Charlestown Oaks. SWEET WHISKEY (12) training well for Pletcher’s barn and has kept nice company since she broke her maiden.
Race 10: TAGHLEEB (3) is a sharp closer from a 19% winning barn and well-bred colt should like the added distance. DYLAN WARD (12) should enjoy more ground to run over on the grass if he’s ready off a long break. POWER (7) has a stellar pedigree, which he was purchased for $260k at the Keeneland sales and tries a two turn distance over the turf first time.
