Race 1: ACQUAROSSA (1) was a good second first time out and should move forward for a “hot” barn at Keeneland. SMOKIN REWARD (6) competes for a 31% first time starter barn and series of works look strong to be ready today. LEAP YEAR LADY (4) has several powerful works to be tough at first asking.
Race 2: CORSA VELOCE (1) is bred for stamina as barn stretches her out on the dirt at two turns. Sharp rider picks up the mount. LEAD THE LINE (2) ran two efforts going a flat mile and stalked early, but didn’t last at low odds today. LIME MARTINI (5) drops in class and may prefer to go route.
Race 3: PURPLE SKY (4) exits a strong finish going a flat mile and should like the added distance second start off the break. SHEIKINATOR (3) is a strong runner at the distance and looks like an easy spot for him, but may need a race off a long layoff. BUCK MAGIC (1) moves up in class with early speed.
Race 4: DIVINE DAWN (3) has plenty of works to be ready today. She’s been training well over the track and barn wins at 27% with firsters. FLOR DE LA LUNA (4) was the beaten favorite at CD and should run better this time around. LIVE FOREVER (5) is a well-bred filly that has solid works from a competitive 2yo barn to be a contender.
Race 5: TAKE IT LIKE A MAN (1) won twice at the distance and exits tough fields against higher priced claimers. GREY BY YOU (5) just won at 7 furlongs for $25k and competes first off the claim for a 33% barn. WILD TARGET (2) should be tough just off the pace second start off the break.
Race 6: STORMY ROCIT (7) has a versatile running style to be a major player at good odds. He has sharp works to be tough off a brief freshening. CAMMACK (2) was full of run in his latest when he finished third at the wire. He should be a serious stretch contender. TIGER BOURBON (6) has a sharp work to make a turnaround today.
Race 7: ETHERIDGE (7) runs for a competitive 2yo barn at 31%. She has several good works to show up today. RUN ZIPPY RUN (8) has plenty of drills to be fit and ready to compete in this race. TOUTSIE RULES (4) should be sharp at first asking with many works for a solid 2yo trainer (17%).
Race 8: ILIKCANDY (2) seems to like any distance going short or long to be a definite favorite against this group. Filly has sharp works and gets a sharp rider in the irons. INTEREST FREE (4) takes on an easier field since has been facing stakes company the last three starts. SOFT WHISPER (5) cuts back in distance and runs with blinkers off.
Race 9: The Grade 3 Pin Oak Valley View Stakes
DARING DANCER (12) won a graded stakes race on the grass and should be tougher second time off the break, GOLDY ESPONY (9) ran well in her latest attempt against graded stakes horses. TOKEN OF LOVE (10) may struggle at the distance, but has great form over a wet turf course.
Race 10: DEFOE STREET (4) should sit just a few lengths off the pace for a good trip. He fits well in this spot. NEW HOPE (1) exits a win on the Tapeta so surface witch is questionable and new connections this outing. ANNAFROMINDIANA (3) is a very consistent 5yo mare to be tough down the stretch.
