Race 1:  DEFER HEAVEN (7) leads into the race in top form with early speed.  FROSTBITE FALLS (3) looks similar to top choice on paper, but ran against easier over synthetic footing in recent starts.  LIVONZIN (6) could be tough with a contested pace and he makes his third start off the layoff.

    Picks 7-3-6

Race 2: KINIGHTS NATION (2) hopes for a sharp break to run well after a poor performance last time out.  He should be tough just off the pace. PABLO DEL MONTE (3) should be the controlling pace in the race, but distance is questionable.  He has a good workout over the track (WR).  R. GREAT ADVENTURE (5) runs well fresh and should be a major player from off the pace, but prefers longer a mile and an eighth.

    Picks 2-5-3

Race 3:  CONQUEST BIG E (7) ran well first time out and should improve with blinkers off.  DEEP IN A DREAM (12) runs for a sharp two-year-old barn with blinkers off as well.  STAND GUARD (6) made a late run first time out and should move forward with a top rider in the irons.

Race 4:  GANGSTER (5) returns to his favorite distance as he faces winners second for top connections.  AWAPAHO (2) has been training well (WR) with two sharp performances. RAAGHEB (3) returns fresh with consistent works and some tactical speed.

    Picks 5-2-3

Race 5:  CLEAR THE MINE (12) was the beaten favorite first time out at Saratoga.  He has the pedigree to run better long for an improved effort today. Barns win at 21% sprint to route.  CONQUEST WINDYCITY (3) is the one to beat with two good races from off the pace and bred well.  DONEGAL MOON (9) runs with blinkers on for the Pletcher stable.

    Pick 12-3-9

Race 6:  MISS MO KELLY (10) should like the distance for a top-notch turf outfit.  PIN UP (5) woke up on the grass last time out.  EMPERESSE (1) leads into the race off a decent effort and two solid drills.

    Picks 10-5-1

Race 7:  DIVINE EXCITEMENT (12) has outside early speed with fast works to be tough for the Jones’s connections.  HOUSE OF SOLE (3) should be dangerous stalking the pace and the one to beat.   ENCHANTRESS (10) has the class with a win over the track.

    Picks 12-3-10

Race 8:  The G3 Phoenix Stakes – RUNHAPPY (1) exits a career best with a sharp workout over the local surface to be ready for his second graded stakes win from the rail with early speed.  HOLY BOSS (4) hoping to bounce back after a disappointing third last time out against top pick.  Colt should be tough sitting just off the pace.  BARBADOS (3) returns to where he belongs in a dirt sprint with the ability to stalk the top two choices if he runs his best effort.

    Picks 1-4-3

Race 9:  The G1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes – DOTHRAKI QUEEN (9) ran very impressively in her last race to be the main threat in Friday’s feature.  She should continue to move forward in her third lifetime start.  JUST WICKED (11) may improve second time going route, but has to beat top choice this time around.  MARQUEE MISS (2) won her first time out in a stakes against a large field.  She could be  the one to watch at a price if she improves.

    Picks 9-11-2

Race 10: MEDAL OF COURAGE (4) ran second with a bothered trip against similar competition last time out.   SOUND OF FREEDOM (5) looks to be the main danger if ready off the long break with a drop in class, but only two published workouts.  MUDDBONE ROAD (3) broke his maiden going a flat mile and should be tough if ready with a clean getaway and trip.

    Picks 4-5-3
