Race 1: SAN ANTONE (1) competes for half the tag he was in last start plus he has performed well at the distance over the turf. TIZ SARDONIC JOE (4) should improve off his last effort. WHATTHECATDRUGIN (5) has early speed in a short field to last for a piece.
Race 2: JANE’S HEIR (2) has won at the distance on the grass and exits a third place effort in a starter allowance for $50k. Filly makes a drop in class for the Pino duo. BUSTLE (9) won for $50k last time she was here and now drops in for tag much lower to be weary at short odds. SAPPHIRE BREEZE (6) is a versatile filly that will run first off the claim for about the same price. She seems to be running in good form at the moment.
Race 3: TIREE (9) competes at an easier level for his second start with the new stable since being claimed for $62k. Gelding has been sharp at the distance over synthetic footing in the past. ZOEBEAR (2) has tactical speed that will be tough if ready off the bench. HEAVY ON THEMISTER (7) is a La bred that has won multiple stakes and needs to find his previous form as he switches barns. He may prefer a longer distance to travel.
Race 4: KATHREENAS MOON (11) was the beaten favorite at first asking. She raced second with a late rally. Well-bred filly gets the perfect distance to run into her second time out. REIGN (4) has consistent works since her last start and get Lasix first time. Barn has been doing well this meet 10-3-2-2. MY FASHION (5) raced evenly on debut at Gulfstream. New rider for a better trip and she has a fast workout in the a.m.
Race 5: RIPOSTE (11) has been consistent on the grass going 1 1/8th since landing in the U.S. She’s a major player on Friday. PRAIA (10) likes the Keeneland lawn and could be a tough customer if she’s ready after a six month break. BOLD KITTEN (3) has faced some fierce competition on the grass to be a solid contender for winning connections.
Race 6: AMELIATHEAVIATOR (9) likes the distance and finished a close third behind the back to back winner HIGH WIRE KITTEN. COLONEL JOAN (11) performed well as a 3yo, but previous competition such as TESTA ROSSI needed to show more to be a contender at low odds. She has talent and will be tough from a capable barn. MA BILLET DOUX (2) runs for a competitive barn at this level and has fast published workouts in the morning.
Race 7: UPKEEP (3) has plenty of stamina to handle the distance and seems to be in good form this year. GREENGRASSOFYOMING (5) leads into the race at the top of his game with a decent record over the local track. LAYTON REGISTER (9) loves the distance, but on the grass. Watch the board on the turf runner switching to poly.
Race 8: GRANNY MC’S KITTEN (6) was over her head in the BC Juvenile Fillies on the turf last Fall, but with a little rest for a high percentage trainer and she could be ready to fire at the distance against for the Ramsey’s. STREETHOMEALABAMA (4) exits sharp effort at the distance last time out. COOL FAITH (12) is a contender with her early speed, but tough draw and first time over the poly.
Race 9: The Maker’s 46 Mile – WISE DAN (3) will be the heavy favorite, but with a stellar resume including a victory in the Maker’s Mile that he deserves to be the center of attention. He loves the distance on the grass. ZA APPROVAL (1) raced second twice behind WISE DAN and should be his biggest threat with a race already this year. RELOAD (5) goes for three consecutive wins in 14’ and should be forwardly placed from the gate in a short field.
Race 10: SKESTOS (3) may like the shorter distance in the finale today. OFFLEE SINISTER (9) faced tougher and hit the board in his last two maiden attempts. BOLD VISIONARY (8) is another longtime maiden that with several efforts finished in the money 9-0-4-1.
