st Race: STORMY PACIFIC (#1) drops back into a claiming race for Steve Manley, who is a perfect two for two for the meet. Give him the edge with Corey Lanerie picking up the mount. DOUBLE OURS (#5) comes off a game win and the third-place finisher in that one came back to win here last week. ROYAL ASSET (#6) has been idle since August but is working well for leading trainer Wesley Ward and has to be respected.
nd Race:DAY OF RECKONING (#3) is training steadily for Wesley Ward and gets the nod in what looks like a well-matched 2-year-old race. DIRECT DIAL (#6) posted a bullet work for Steve Asmussen and will be tough to beat. PETE MARWICK (#8) debuts for trainer Kenny McPeek and also posted a bullet work.
rd Race:RHODIUM (#6) comes off a front-running win on opening day and appears to be in a good spot to make it two in a row despite the added distance. GOTIT TODO (#4) is undefeated at this distance and will be running at the end. She is the one to beat. DELUSIONAL K K (#1) comes off a game win against lesser company but also likes this track.
th Race: SALMANAZAR (#12) is a son of Preakness (G1) winner Shackleford who debuts for trainer Todd Pletcher. He posted a bullet work last week in Florida and gets the nod in a tough 2-year-old race. TIGERBEACH (#7) is in the capable hands of trainer John Hancock, who has already won three 2-year-old races. He is the one to beat. SKY PROMISE (#11) is training well for Kenny McPeek. Note: NOOTKA SOUND (#4) is entered to run against fillies tomorrow and will probably scratch in here.
th Race: MAKARIOS (#4) was a sharp maiden winner at Gulfstream and ran very well to finish third in the Transylvania (G3) Presented by Keeneland Select on opening day. He looks like a solid bet to win this one for trainer Nick Zito with Corey Lanerie back aboard. CHANNEL MAKER (#1) was a beaten favorite over this turf course last out but makes his third start back after a layoff and should move forward. FIRE FOR EFFECT (#2) was fourth behind Derby bound Always Dreaming and is bred to handle the move to the grass.
th Race: ELITCH (#3) didn't fire on the grass at Tampa but will like the move back to the dirt today. Ian Wilkes has had a slow start this meet but his horses have been running well recently and this one looks best on the class drop. DUNK A DIN (#1) just missed at this level last out and ran well over this track back in October. ORIENTAL CROWN (#6) has the speed to be dangerous.
th Race:SOGLIO (#5) stumbled leaving the gate in the Spiral (G3) and lost his best chance. He will love the move back to the turf and looks best for trainer Graham Motion with Javier Castellano picking up the mount. GIANT PAYDAY (#3) also exits the Spiral. He broke his maiden over the Keeneland lawn in October and trainer Ian Wilkes adds blinkers today. GORGEOUS KITTEN (#2) had a rough trip in the Rushaway at Turfway and will be running at the end with Julien Leparoux up.
th Race:OVERHOLD (#9) debuts for leading trainer Wesley Ward. He has been training steadily and is capable of winning this one. LOVE ME IN MALIBU (#6) just missed at this level on the Gulfstream turn and also has good dirt form. He will be running at the end under Javier Castellano and is the one to beat. LYONS BAY VISTA (#8) is a definite threat.
