    Sunday, October 22nd, 2017

Race 1:  WINGS LOCKED UP (4) looks like the main speed and the rest of the field will have to catch him.  YOCKEY’S WARRIOR (5) returns off a long rest and training forwardly for a big return with sharp form over this course.  WILBO (3) should improve off his fourth place effort in a stakes to be competitive today.

    Picks 4-5-3

Race 2:  CLEVER SERVE (4) runs first off the claim for 23% stable having a good meet and filly should be dangerous late.  JEMROSE (6) is another looking for an honest early pace to run late second start off the break.  NANCY DOLL (1) has a good record of performing well here to be worth a look if ready off the bench.

    Picks 4-6-1

Race 3:  RED HOT CHERRY (3) appears to be running in good form and should be enough early pace to chase for the filly as she moves back to the dirt, which she handle well in the past.  LIMERICK LADY (7) has sharp recent form and Maker trainee should be sitting just off the early runners.  SHE’S LOVELY (9) has early speed to try to steal this on the front, but she may have other company.

    Picks 3-7-9

Race 4:  HIGH PROMISE (3) should like the turn back in distance and appears to have the best recent turf form to be the one to beat.  DREAMOLOGY (5) is well bred for the grass and the $500k has high expectations to show up today.  DREAMRIDER (11) needs redo with a sharp break to be a player.  The gelding has been training sharply here in the morning.

    Picks 3-5-11

Race 5:  BELLATORI (8) ran second here in the past and has a moderate blowout workout to be ready with jockey Lanerie sitting just off the early pacesetters.  CASE CRACKER (2) will attempt to be dangerous from gate to wire.  RACEY REECEY (9) runs first off the claim with a few sharp drills to consider at long odds.

    Picks 8-2-9

Race 6: THEWAYIAM (10) has been sharp going short on the grass and gets first time Lasix for a barn overdue for a win at Keeneland this meet.  Filly looks to be training well for this spot.  CUBS WIN (2) came running late to win on the grass in Chicago and fast works to be sharp facing winners first time.  MOOLIGHT RAIN (9) may not have like the wet turf at Kentucky Downs and should improve off her last effort.

    Picks 10-2-9

Race 7:  ANTARCTIC (7) is a well-bred son of TAPIT with flashy works to be feared in this spot for a capable barn.  TITLE READY (4) exits a key race and bullet work on 10/14.  ONE THIRTY NINE (6) was second at the distance after displaying early speed and barn has been hot as of late.

    Picks 7-4-6

Race 8:  The Grade 3 Dowager Stakes

APPLE BETTY (7) has won at the distance and finished runner-up in this race last year.  Filly has been training consistently for a nice comeback with jockey Velazquez in the irons.  GRATEFUL (10) has never been worse than third and just missed to HARMONIZE last out.  She is versatile enough to handle the outside post.  PLACE DES VOSGES (3) looks good enough to compete with this field and throw out last race at Kentucky Downs with good works since to be consider at a big price.

    Picks 7-10-3

Race 9:  ROCKET TIME (8) was the beaten favorite in the slop this meet and runs back quickly to prove he’s the one to beat with a drop-in class.  WYETH (6) should perform well against easier company while moving back to the dirt and sitting just off the early pace.  SIR NAVIGATOR (4) is training nicely and love to win as of late to throw into the mix at 12-1 odds.

    Picks 8-6-4
