FRIDAY, October 21
Race 1: (6) Tracking the Cat looks like a standout in here so the only play is a win bet.
Race 2: (1) Bird Sense is consistent and is working well here at Keeneland. She had a wide trip last time so a better effort here is logical to expect. Exacta boxes 1-6, 1-4
Race 3: (5) No Fault of Mine is 1-for-1 at Keeneland so that's always encouraging for the turf course here. This one had a wide trip last time and I like that Geroux signs on for the ride. Exacta boxes 5-3, 5-1, 5-7
Race 4: (9) Twilight Owl had a solid debut and should improve off that run and the Wilkes' stable has done well at this meet. Exacta boxes 9-6, 9-2, 9-7
Race 5: (5) Hotbutteredsoul is in lifetime best form and is the pick to get the job done here but there's no standout so the exotic play is a four-horse box. Exacta box 5-1-3-6
Race 6: (7) Holly Field took a big step forward in the second start and that was despite a wide trip. That kind of effort or better gets the money here. Exacta boxes 7-13, 7-14, 7-3, 7-4, 7-5
Race 7: (7) Moon Gun makes his second start over this track and drops in class--the former angle is often profitable here at Keeneland, as horses improve with that local race under their belt. I think the top choices in here are full of question marks. Exacta boes 7-2, 7-3, 7-8
Race 8: (8) Her Love for Pappy showed good speed in the debut and is working well and the Colebrook stable has had a solid meet. Exacta boxes 8-7, 8-6, 8-3
Race 9: in the grade 3 Pin Oak Valley View, (11) Azaelia gets the nod off a close fourth-place finish in group1 company in Europe. Geroux taking the mount is a plus, too. (4) Tin Type Gal is the one to beat but reports have said she may scratch out of this spot. (12) Nawlins Kitty and (7) Outsider Art are longshots with past efforts good enough to contend here. Exacta box of 11-4-10-7-12
Race 10: (1) Sentence had trouble in the debut so I'm betting this one will come back with a stronger performance in this spot. Also, trainer Thomas Drury wins at a 24 percent clip with second-time starters. Exacta boxes 1-5, 1-2, 1-3
Late Pick 4 (starts in race 7): 7,2,3,8 with 8,7,6 with 11,4,10,12 with 1,5
