    THURSDAY, April 27

Race 1:   Sunny Skies (8) shows a 35 2/5ths workout from the gate, so I'm betting this Animal Kingdom filly is ready to run in her debut.  Key her in exactas with Lullingstone and American Alphabet.  Exacta boxes 8-6, 8-7

Race 2:   Hunter O' Riley (1) has marathon experience and has run well on this course.  Take that one in exacta boxes with Wayward Kitten, Patrick's Day and Grey Wizard.  Exacta boxes 1-7, 1-6, 1-3

Race 3:   Dustem Carolina (6) makes the third start off a layoff, so improvement can be anticipated.  I like the class drop here and the fact that this trainer/jockey combo has had a good success rate over the years.  Put this one in a four-horse exacta box with Bluegrass Special, Vanilla Score and the 1-1A entry.  Exacta boxes 6-4, 6-1, 6-2

Race 4:   Another Gal (12) is the shaky pick here, since note of the top choices particularly impress me.  This one has a good turf pedigree and Lopresti has decent numbers with horses making a turf debut as well as the dirt-to-turf move.  Either one of the Arnold trainees--La Manta Gris (2) and Ettalusive (11)--can win this so play those three in an exacta box and add as many of these as your budget allows:  Egg Roll, Plein Air, Game Factor and Jaunt.  Exacta box of 12-2-11 (+ possibly add 10-8-14-13--guessing some of these will scratch to help pare down the ticket).

Race 5:   Orbolution (9) makes her debut for Pletcher and one of his top clients so that's the pick in this baby race.  The Hancock-trained CJS Suzie Byu is a must-use, given that stable's success in these races this meet and add Nootka Sound, although she might be overbet.  Exacta boxes 9-6, 9-7

Race 6:   Muhaawer (3) makes the second start off the layoff and that's a 22 percent angle here for the trainer.   Key that one in exacta boxes with as many of these as you can afford (in this order):  Cite, Honori, Bealestreet Dancer, Galileo's Spear and Sixty Five.  Exacta boxes 3-5, 3-8, 3-9, 3-1, 3-7

Race 7:   Rhythm Park (6) is 1-for-1 here and is in top form so that's my pick here but don't overlook Favorite Coach (4), who coud really improve with a second run over the track.  Use them in an exacta box with Manhattan Mischief and Nelson's El Camino.  Exacta box 6-4-7-5

Race 8:   Southern Wild (3) comes off the Gulfstream circuit and gets Castellano in the saddle and that's been a strong combo at this meet.  Also, those two races last fall would stack up well here.  I'll key her in exactas with Nessy, Mutazen, Brucarita and Mucho Macho Bets.  Exacta boxes 3-5, 3-1, 3-11 3-10

Race 9:  Luther D (3) has a start over the track and can show improvement off that experience.  The early speed this one has is a plus here, too.  Key her in exactas with Wissam, Kitten for Granny, Red Leonard and Hundred Across.  Exacta boxes 3-8, 3-9, 3-5, 3-2

    Pick 4 (starts in race 6):  3 with 6,7,4 with 3,5,1,11,10 with 3,8,9,2
