Race 1: DYNAMO RIDGE (3) made a move too soon in his latest to give another look second time over the track. IT’S ALL COPACETIC (5) needs to pull out his “A” game this time to be a key player. MIDNIGHT DANCE (4) will move up in class and hopes for an uncontested trip on or near the front.
Race 2: SCOUT LEADER (4) dealt with traffic last time out and runs second start off the claim for a high percentage trainer. KUTUZOV (1) tries two turns over the track to be more of a threat as he takes on a soft claiming field. DUVAL ST. (2) returns off a brief freshening and has a win at the distance on the dirt.
Race 3: DUCHESS BIRD (7) should like the cut back in distance to be a major candidate from the outside in this spot. TIZTHEDREAM (2) stalked early only to finish evenly and should be the biggest threat to top choice today. THREE LOVES AND ME (5) runs for a capable barn and may improve off last effort.
Race 4: MAIN ASSET (3) runs for top connections with two solid efforts on the grass and a quick work in the morning to be a contender and appears to be the one to beat. BOLD CONTENDER (6) may prefer a shorter distance, but he has the best form on the turf to be a main player. ANY GIVEN TRACE (5) returns fresh and another that should like the added distance.
Race 5: RED LODGE (8) just missed on debut and may be around longer to cross the wire first when he makes his second start over the track. TAGLIA (7) is well bred for this quick sprint distance and has a bullet breeze from the gate. CHINA GROVE (3) is another speedster with good works over the surface and should be a square price.
Race 6: WILDWOODSGREATEST (2) gets some class relief to help find his way back to the winner’s circle and hopes for a solid trip stalking from the inside as he runs second start of the claim (17%). SAYLER’S CREEK (3) loves to run at KEE, but prefers the softer footing with a big drop in class at short odds. OL ARMY (8) won two back and makes his first start off the claim (27%) with a race over the track.
Race 7: BLARP (4) has been facing graded stakes company and appears to be a slightly easier spot for him to move forward while a few top contenders returns off layoffs. TOWN EXTENSION (8) seems to always fire late if ready off the bench. ANY GIVEN ROYAL (7) has two encouraging workouts in the morning to prove he’s ready off the break.
Race 8: LIGHTNING DOVE (8) is a well-bred filly drawn well to the outside for the hot 2yo barn and quick works. CONQUEST BANDIDO (7) has plenty of works to be ready to face this group for a high percentage trainer (14%). MAKEALITTLELOVE (1) also has a quick work from the gate for the Maker barn to be a contender.
Race 9: WAR ENVOY (5) has been in some tough fields in his lifetime and just missed by a head at the distance on the turf last fall. He most likely needed his last race last time and should take a big step forward today. VICI (3) is a lightly raced 4yo for top connections with two solid performances this year. BILLY’S STAR (9) should be dangerous late if ready off winter break.
