Kim Nelson has grown up with horses in Kentucky. She began her career with Thoroughbreds at North Ridge Farm in Lexington, KY where she worked with foaling mares and yearlings. She moved on from there to work for Carl Nafzger as an assistant trainer and exercise rider. After the birth of her daughter she changed careers to handicapping for the Daily Racing Form. Once the Daily Racing Form closed its handicapping department in Lexington, Kim was very fortunate to land a position with Marylou Whitney Stables. She is now the assistant racing and breeding manager for Mrs. Whitney.

#5 Dijarvo is on the drop and her Beyer numbers suggests this is a good spot to find the cameraman. She has been working decent over the Keeneland track. #4 Serving Time well beaten in her last 2 and has been rested since January. She is 2 for 3 at Keeneland and last year’s form is good enough to compete with these. #3 La Torera won for $10K here 7 days ago. Quick turnaround but probably gets a share.

#9 Smokinindaboysroom was the beaten favorite in his last and drops significantly for this one. Morning line chalk looks tough to beat. #4 The Sixties ran 3rd for $40K here on April 6. He should be able to land a share. #5 Kenny’s Lake has been in good form his last 2 with early turn of foot. He could hold on for part.

#8 Alex’s Gold improved in her 2nd start but has been away since December. Still she ran well enough in that one to suggest she can handle these. #4 Chroi Le Teaglaigh is a firster for the Andrew McKeever barn. The Henrythenavigator filly looks very well prepared with a solid worktab. #1 Igotthemoneyhoney gets the hot Rosario in the irons but has to break from the cold 1 post.

#1 Class Included is making her 2nd off a long layoff and faced some tough company in her first back. She is an exceptional mare and should appreciate this spot. #5 Distorted Legacy has very impressive Beyer numbers but 3 starts in 2 years raises questions. 7-5 morning line, she probably gets part but the price is too short. #6 Bandi’s Gal is successful at the distance and the synthetic. She could jump up and add some value to the exotics.

Two year old race usually goes to Wesley Ward but he draws the dreaded 1 post this time. Going with #3 Bourbon Therapy in this race. Barn does well with firsters and colt has good works over the track. #5 Pontos is by Tale of the Cat. Sire’s progeny does well here going short and barn also does well with debut runners. #1 Hollywood Talent has to be included in exotics.
