Kim Nelson has grown up with horses in Kentucky. She began her career with Thoroughbreds at North Ridge Farm in Lexington, KY where she worked with foaling mares and yearlings. She moved on from there to work for Carl Nafzger as an assistant trainer and exercise rider. After the birth of her daughter she changed careers to handicapping for the Daily Racing Form. Once the Daily Racing Form closed its handicapping department in Lexington, Kim was very fortunate to land a position with Marylou Whitney Stables. She is now the assistant racing and breeding manager for Mrs. Whitney.

#4 Lonesome Town has been away since last November but has been working well over the Keeneland course. She ran a strong 2nd over the Woodbine poly in her last start. She looks tough in this one. #1 Shame On You is making her first start for trainer Roger Attfield, her first start in the U.S. and her first with Lasix. Solid work tab preparing and Prado in the saddle. She could land a share. #5 Perfect Forever also comes from the Attfield barn. She has plenty of experience and Rosario in the irons. Definitely a threat.

#1a Judy the Beauty has been keeping Graded Stakes company in previous form. She has been on the bench awhile but still looks much the best here. #5 Sly Warrior is a very consistent sort that could easily find the winners circle if Judy runs out of gas. #4 Queen’s Award finished a well beaten 7th here in the Grade 1 Madison. Softer company should move her up.

#8 Fly Gal broke her maiden at first asking but didn’t back it up in her 2nd race. Hasn’t run since Feb. and barn is very good off the layoff. Pedigree suggests she will love the distance and the poly. #11 Exotic Mischief comes out of a key race and expect her to make her presence known here. #9 Excessiveness is from the hot Maker barn with Rosario in the irons.
