    THURSDAY, October 27

Race 1:  (5) G Miracle had a strong effort off  the bench and should improve and the trainer uses his go-to rider.  Exacta boxes 5-4, 5-1

Race 2:  (4) Urban Bourbon gets class relief in this spot and had a good effort last fall on the Keeneland course.  Exacta boxes 4-3, 4-2, 4-7

Race 3:  (7) Kismet's Heels gets the nod in a wide-open race so the play here is a four-horse exacta box.  Exacta box of 7-6-9-3

Race 4:  (8) Pennington Bayou had a solid effort in his first try v. winners and I like that he shortens up a tad here, plus you have solid local connections in the mix.  Exacta boxes 8-9, 8-7

Race 5:  (6) Persuasion had trouble at the start in his race earlier in the meet and he can show a much-improved race in this spot.  Exacta boxes 6-10, 6-12, 6-8

Race 6:  (5) Morocco gets blinkers and that's a 22 percent win rate for the Mott barn and this one caught a good field in the debut at Belmont.  Exacta boxes 5-10, 5-11, 5-2, 5-4

Race 7: (5) Hot Dad drops in class here and he has shown steadily improving speed figures into this race.  Exacta boxes 5-6, 5-2, 5-3, 5-4

Race 8: (5) Papa Zulu ran a big race in the first start for the Bradley barn and something close to that makes him a contender here.  Also, the runnerup from that race came back to win.  Exacta boxes 5-4, 5-3, 5-2, 5-1

Race 9:  (9) Patterson Cross ran an 89 Beyer figure in late August at Saratoga and then had trouble last time out.  Getting back to that August form could get the win here.  Exacta boxes 9-10, 9-3

    Late Pick 4 (starts in race 6):  5,10,11,2 with 5,6,2 with 5,4,3,2,1 with 9,10
