Race 1: ETERNAL FORCE (2) gets the class relief he may need and better draw to perform better today.  ELKHORN POET (6) also faces maiden claimers first time and good work over the track in the a.m. TEQUILAS (4) has fast works, but only three published works in the last month.

    Picks 2-6-4

Race 2:  ABSOLUTE LOVE (7) should improve second time at the distance, which she could not catch the runaway winner, GIO GAME, in her first attempt going a mile and sixteenth.  QUEENARDINI (6) may prefer the grass, but she’s training well over the dirt for a hot barn.  QUERCETA (3) was well bet on debut, but he was involved early then gave up.  Sharp trainer from sprint to route (19%) and he’s well bred for the longer distance.

    Picks 7-6-3

Race 3:  FIREY DIAMOND (8) runs first off, the claim and may enjoy the return to the dirt with decent dirt form.  WHAT A REWARD (4) has two wins at the distance and has been running in good form this year to compete with the best of these.  BIG RED SEVEN (1) training sharply for an improved effort against slightly easier while switching riders.

    Picks 8-4-1

Race 4:  GENERAL MACARTHER (7) shortens up in distance which may be just what the 4yo needs while running first time gelding for the Ward stable.  VICI (8) is proven many times in turf sprints to be the one to beat at low odds.  CHILTERN STREET (1) has plenty of early speed to be a major player.

    Picks 7-8-1

Race 5:  ROCKINGHAM MEL (1A) ended up with a wide trip after a rough break.  He’s bred to handle the further distance and barn has been hot as of late.  B DUBYA (2) is half to multiple graded stakeswinner, KODIAK KOWBOY, to hopefully handle the two-turn distance today.  CONVINCING (6) is well bred for dirt route and barn wins at 18% with first time starters.

    Picks 1A-2-6

Race 6:  SPEEDMEISTER (7) broke his maiden over this course and fitting name for this one to handle the distance second start off the long layoff.  ATTRIBUTE (1) should be the main danger from start to finish.  EIGHT TOWN (4) snatch his first win at the distance and barn overdue for a victory plus colt has been training sharply.

    Picks 7-1-4

Race 7:  STOLEN PISTOL (5) steps down in class with solid turf footing and second time route to watch at a price.  BANTU (6) is one of the favorites and beat top choice by a quarter of a length in the Turf Showcase Juveniles stakes and jockey Joe Rocco may had a choice.  MR. RECIO (12) broke his maiden impressively coming from last to first on the grass first time out and may repeat against winners.

    Picks 5-6-12

Race 8:  ARCH MADNESS (10) should like the longer distance to get up in time after a late running second at the same level this meet.  ENCRYPT (7) has been a longtime maiden, but his last performance was the most promising to throw into the mix.  RUSSELL CAVE (4) gets major class relief to help his chances and seems to train well over the Keeneland dirt course in the morning.

    Picks 10-7-4
