Race 1: SENSATIONAL RIDE (4) exits one his best efforts to be a contender with early speed. DOUBLE SENCE (2) hopes to make some kind of noise with a big drop in class. COSMIS QUEST (5) also expecting to move forward with some class relief.
Race 2: INCITEMENT (4) leads into this race in top form and should tough tracking the early pace. BOLD ICE (5) hopes to bounce back with a fast track with his sharp record at the distance. PHRASE (1) breaks from the rail with early speed and wears blinkers today.
Race 3: CORT (5) has been training well to be ready off a brief break with a solid form in turf sprints. CHA MONO (4) appears to be the biggest threat to top choice as he competes second start off the break. VITTORIOSO (3) should save ground early to run them down late with a sharp work since his latest.
Race 4: GIMMEADRINK (2) exits a key race that a few runners came back and won their next start plus veteran runner has several wins over a dirt course and an impressive work to be a major player. SNICKERBOXER (1) runs back quickly after a “bumped” trip in his latest and runs for lesser tag to help his case. COPUS (7) is knocking at the door for another victory for high percentage connections.
Race 5: LOCAL HERO (1) is worth talking about if his stablemate, Toby Girl, runs well at KEE on Saturday, which he was the better of the two during a workout. The half million dollar has a steady workout pattern to suspect he’s ready on debut and bred well for the distance on the dirt. OUR STORMIN NORMAN (9) has the experience edge and may like the return to the dirt. MINEFIELD (4) also has intriguing drills and the dam has produced multiple winners as 2yos to consider with jockey Lanerie up at 12-1 odds.
Race 6: LEMON SQUEEZE (5) has already run well at the distance on the turf to be the one to beat for top barn on the grounds. TIMIDO (2) is likely to improve second time going long on the grass. SISTINE SISTA (6) should like the added distance today.
Race 7: SCHIVARELLI (2) has kept nice company and seems to be running in good form to be tough with early speed shortening in distance. TOTALLY DRENCHED (4) goes for three wins in a row and could be the best of the early speed. SCARLY CHARLY (6) has a wide trip in her latest to be a threat second time over the track for a 25% winning stable.
Race 8: The Grade III ROOD AND RIDDLE DOWAGER STAKES
ELEKTRUM (2) ships in from the California perhaps to compete at the longer distance as she exits the GI Rodeo Drive Stakes. OAKLEY GIRL (13) rallied late to finish third in a key race for her first start in the U.S. ROBBILLARD (6) loves KEE with a perfect record 2/2 and should be early pacesetter amongst this group.
Race 9: TRULY VAL (10) stretches out to two turns with a 10lb. bug rider aboard to possibly be the lone speed in a wide-open maiden race. SPANISH ARCH (11) needs to show more and likely the favorite. She does exit a key race, which several two years old came back and won. DAHLIA’S FOY LADY (9) drops in class and moves to the dirt to consider if price is right.
